Etsy shut two of my shops down overnight. The exact words that you described ‘you wake up one morning and notice your account has been suspended’. I totally hate them with passion.

Etsy is disgusting

My wife had her Etsy account suspended a month ago and they still have not replied to her email. She was making Etsy £5000 a month and not they have lost that. She has to start again using other ways of selling her items.

As an artist and designer, this is depressing AF. How are real artists supposed to compete with people who have no creativity and don't make anything but just racing to the bottom with drop shipping and videos.

I found this video highly informative, but I have one big concern. There is so much spam out there which, naturally, makes people fearful of opening random emails. I almost always delete any email that appears to be an AD.

Hi Jason, I have a lot of topics I'd like to put into a newsletter, but I need to know if it's better to narrow my topics in order to capture my audience?

After putting 6 months of hard work into Etsy and finally starting to get a few sales, my store got permanently suspended 2 days ago. My store doesn't violate their policies ( I've seen other stores that list copyrighted products but never get taken down). I didn't even receive an email from Etsy explaining the suspension. I had to file an appeal. The email response from Etsy's trust and safety was a generic response, does not give me the reason why my shop was permanently suspended. If they can even list the specific reasons, perhaps I can do something to change it. In the support ticket, they even mention they will not reply to any of my support tickets anymore. The matter of fact is they don't tell you; they only list the generic reasons as to why you are permanently suspended. It is very frustrating. I would definitely NOT recommend anyone starting an Etsy shop at all. ETSY IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME AND EFFORT. You never know when your shop will get suspended. Luckily for me, I didn't start too long ago. But for those people who had put 3 years of work in it and to lose it all without any explanation from the Etsy's support team, it is not worth your time investing in Etsy. Also, I wanted to mention, their support team is USELESS, the support team had me waiting for over 1 hour to speak with the seller's customer service. At the end, I gave up and hung up.

The tools you use to see sales information on Etsy are false and intentionally misleading to increase sales. Marketing such tools or misinformation on top of it. This misleads the viewers and may even cause losses and further problems.

I just tried opening an etsy store and I was permanently banned for life before the store was even published. I was a risk to their marketplace but they can't tell me why I was a risk because that too would jepordize their marketplace.
