Come on Burnley, I'm sure you can finally win this game nearly 50 years on. One last, big effort. .......damn, not again!

I'm an old git - and I'm more a rugby player than a football player but I know these players first names - I couldn't name a single one of the current crop. The players have moved away from the plebs - I remember seeing Iam McFaul and Bobby Moncur at Seghill big club (as opposed to the Comrades) they were still on the same planet as their fans.

The 1974 cup run was fantastic, especially the away games. Super Mac was out of this world.

Fantastic goal by Crazy Horse, then Mighty Mouse concedes a penalty (and says “ah come ON, ref! No way...”) But it lets Supermac get on the scoresheet on his debut

A great game before Newcastle and Liverpool became plastic sports franchise clubs playing in the plastic sports franchise PL ! Thought the price rise for their most "affordable" season tickets to nigh on a grand would wake the fans up to how fake their clubs have become. Watching this underlines how fake and plastic the sports franchise league is.

Having been a supporter since 1969 I can clearly remember a lot of this stuff. Just wish we'd adopt the catchphrase used by comedy figure THE HARD on the legendary Newcastle based music show THE TUBE - 'FELT NOWT! It would be perfect to chant whenever we lost a game!

Fantastic away day. Sure the reports at the time said there was about 11,000 travelled. I just remember the ground was packed with Newcastle fans on every side. I was behind the goal so got a great view of Sheedys' goal. Absolute bedlam, but what a feeling!

That trophy cabinet was gathering a lot of dust, as it was 25 years without a trophy back then. Ever since, it’ll have gathered cob webs and mice nests in it too 55 years down the line.

,, in peace Terry Hibbitt ,what agreat player ,has there been a better left foot half volleyed pass since i doubt it .Terry had a great left foot, seen him play many times for Newcastle, and Gateshead ,Malcolm Macdonald, was a great striker,he had a great left foot aswell, how much would they be worth in todays transfer market.
