Good video. You can improve your cable by adding an inline table lamp switch. Then you can avoid sparking by getting your wires connected before turning the switch on. Also you can crimp automotive spade connectors on the cable ends. These work well with batteries that have the clip style connector.
@SmellyCatCreations16 күн бұрын
Cheers Simon, great tips thank you. I don't generally have to do this very often so it was just a very quick made-up cable but I think if I did it more often I would certainly have a nicer cable and the switch is a great option to add.

Hello, Could ask a stupid question. I'm wanting tip my toes into the air compressor world. I wondered, I've got some skirting boards to fit in the house. 18mm skirting ( pine) which will be attached to a wall in a traditional UK house, so plaster board and breeze block. In your opinion, would this and it connected compressor be up to the job, just hold whilst the 1900 litre of no nails go off. Cheers.
@SmellyCatCreations4 ай бұрын
I would personally say one of these would struggle with that, to be honest, as 18mm skirting alone will need a high driving force. If you check out my video for the cordless worx nailer, to be honest, these days, that's my go-to nailer. It has much greater control over deph penetration, and I use it a lot for stapling u shape staples into panels

VCarve Desktop = 28 months of CarveCo Maker. I hate subscription software ... they just dangle you on a string. I'm going to buy VCarve Desktop and if I sell my CNC, the software will go with it (hopefully getting a bit of the cost back). Plus, there is nothing to stop CarveCo putting up their subscription fee. I do agree that the VCarve interface is very old fashioned, but I can live with that. Love the beard!
@SmellyCatCreations4 ай бұрын
Haha cheers mate, you do raise a very good point on the subscription side of things. Especially more so lately as everything just seems to be going through the roof price wise. Perhaps good advice would be start on vectrics lowest package until you find it doesn't do something you need then pay the upgrade cost. I moved to affinity designer for artwork to avoid Adobe clouds monthly costs

@RobertNeaguOfficial I would assume its most likely due to the cells not being equally balanced, and therefore, most budget Included won't load balance them and just reject charging for safety reasons. Options are to try it on a more advanced charger with balancing connection or open it up and separate and measure the voltage on each cell

Subscribing. There is a marked change from your earlier videos and the more current ones! KZfaq recommended one of your older videos. Instead of judging all of your videos based on YT's recommended one, I looked at your current videos ... and they were superior! If I went with only the recommended videos to judge your channel, I would not have subscribed and likely would have marked your channel as "do not recommend". That's not what I did ... and I do recommend your channel! With that in mind, take a look and consider removing the videos that aren't as current *and* that could be improved. If the videos are already fine, of course, leave them alone. This is a recommendation, not a demand, after all! I admit I could be wrong in some minor or even major way. Corrections are appreciated!

You can get 2 40v batteries for £56 delivered of Ali express I got the drill and driver for £30 on sale so 86 for the lot and they are brilliant Aldi make the money on the batteries which is why the tools are so cheap as you can get a whole system and will keep going back to Aldi for batteries and then buy shopping also it brings more men on to the shop it's very clever marketing really as once you have a few batteries you're invested in the system so if one does brake you'll just replace it and not change brand
@SmellyCatCreations6 ай бұрын
I must admit once I get a system with a few tools and batteries I do hate having multiple brands as just all the different chargers are a pain enough. One brand often doesn't seem to offer all the tools I need which is the issue. I still use the Aldi angle grinder daily and it has yet to let me down, so for the price I paid im well happy with it.
