Hey! Hope you don't mind me barging here doing literal lectures, but I really like providing feedback. I believe it's a great way to share some insights, give tips and learn things or two, ultimately profiting both sides. So, I put that track on loop for some time to get a good hold on it and share an in-depth feedback. It probably resulted in grinding some watchtime, but it's okay, you deserve it. It starts off really nice, very climactic. Good use of Hamlet's motif, the choice of instruments is interesting. Love how the first harpsichord note in beats doesn't change. One thing I noticed is how the background violin notes have a very short tail. It sounds good on longer notes, but faster passages might be a little bit mechanical. Adding a little bit of release (and/or attack) would definitely help to make it smoother. The followup of this phrase, from 0:08, is great and really captures the DS atmosphere. Transition's harp seems a little cut off in several transitions, though. After 0:16 (which is a climax of sorts), new instruments are added, which is good, also they play the DST motif this time. I don't like the pizzicato violins used here, they sound very dry. These could be mixed better to achieve smoother blending with the rest of instruments. Currently it stands out of a mix a bit. I like how some instruments are subtly introduced before they actually get some prominent line, like these low brasses from 0:25. Such small stuff is a chef's kiss. The course towards 0:50 is progressing nicely. Basses here, while dry, don't stand out like the pizzicatos - they form a strong base in really good Don't Starve style. It might've been a risky take, but you did a fine job with that. Moment from 0:50 breaks previously established routine, which is very good - it's not too early nor too late. Perfectly measured, I would say. While I was expecting something like this to occur, it was still a pleasant suprise experiencing that change. First run (from 0:50 to 0:58) is refreshing, but the repetition could use some additional variety, since without this it may come off as bleak. It's worth checking the balance of instruments, as this may give some ideas next time. In this fragment you have very strong lows (string staccatos and brass) with subtle highs playing a melody, yet mids are completely unused. You could have made it even more dramatic by adding some motoric staccato strings in the middle, that follow the harmony. Or maybe long tremolos? Keep experimenting! These subtle nitty-gritties add the flavour to the music. Transition to the outro is good. I would get literal goosebumps if some stuff from the final climax, i.e. previously mentioned tremolos in the middle, were kept throught the outro, playing some cool counterpoint. Climax builds so much dramatism I wish had lingered longer through these means. Now the stuff I found jarring the most. Firstly, the usage of glockenspiel. I personally found that instrument a little overused throughout the track. Good that you change its melody to lower registers after a while, it helps alleviate the problem, but it plays over and over using similar melodies. Otherwise brilliant recapitulation (at the climax, 1:07) had the potential to be way more refreshing if we were given a break from glockenspiel at some point. Is it from Spitfire Orchestra, by the way? Harpsichord, on the other hand, sees very little usage. It basically defines the Hamlet atmosphere, and while I do hear it used a bit, it's mostly when doubling other voices. This instrument has naturally good blending with orchestra, and this is why melodies in harpsichord are only a little hearable. I would love to hear it more here, as some subtle counter-melodies or different kind of flavours. It's accompaniment is very good though - it begs for a little more melody. Speaking of it - elements like that background violin could be extended, used more. Occasional motifs played by long notes would shine in such staccato-dominated track. The biggest, let's say, offence for me is that omnipresent glockenspiel, though. I do agree on its interesting and mysterious timbre, but by being so distinct it's very easy to overdo it. Other than this, I really like your DS stuff. Didn't have time to check out the rest (since I had this one on loop for some time) but I will definitely do it in the future. Would love to hear what will come next, too! Keep on doing your stuff. Have a good day!

Hello! Thank you for your valuable advice on my songs. I will continue to strengthen my arrangement. Before everything started, the production cycle of this song was only about 3 days, and I didn't have time to adjust many instrument details and mixing parts. I did use a lot of glocks in this song, but I did overdo it. Sorry. The brass instrument at 1: 07 belongs to the Spitfire Orchestra, and I don't have any other brass plugins. Finally, thank you for your willingness to spend your time on my songs. I will continue to improve later. Have a nice day, too!
