4:09 - ugh i remember those days lol. I see the appeal esp with space usage but there's just no match for a 2 stage gas blower. The plow ridge alone at the end of the driveway would take me over an hour churning thru it. And good luck if there's ice chunks. The entire 6 car driveway now takes me about 20 min - regardless if there's 2 inches of 18 inches. And maintenance is nothing - just turn the gas valve off when you're done and it'll run the carb dry. Put seafoam in there at the end of the season and run it dry. Starts on one pull beginning of next season.

Your red extension cord looks like the one I'm returning because they told me it wasn't heavy duty, 16/3. They told me to get a 14/3 or a 12/3. Is this true?

your suppose to loop the extension cord through the bottom hole then put the loop over the plastic hook type thing so it dont pull out

Solid review. I just added a plug-in electric shovel to my arsenal. I use a two-stage for the heavy and wet and plan on using a small electric for everything else.

I bought the small cordless one 13” it doesn’t have wheels I thought wouldn’t be good with wheels and then someone told me that you just glided along on the snow and it is supposed to be 14 pounds, but it feels kind of heavy to hold for a woman with a battery and it seems kind of backbreaking if you can’t put it down on the ground and push it Haven’t used it yet - we shall see In the ad on TV they had a plastic bag underneath for the ground, so I’m not sure why they did that but I’m kind of thinking the bottom of your machine make it all scratched up

Considering this for my sidewalk. It is close to the house and as I get older I think using the shovel less would be good to do. The auger was what got my attn on this model. The video makes me think this would do fine and might be more than I need for the small area.

I would be careful bogging it, the brush motors are prone to overheating and arcing afterwards like my sunjoe did.

I just ordered one after two 10" snowfalls in like, 2 weeks. Ug! Been using my same regular shovel for nearly 23 years (old as my hip replacement) and I'm older and aching now, lol. I only need to use it on my walk which is pretty short, some sidewalk and I only do my driveway apron since I park just off the sidewalk when I know a storm is coming. Hopefully it will last!

My wife bought me an electric snowblower for my birthday just like this I was disappointed because she got me the plugging one and not the rechargeable battery 1 but now after I've used it for a few storms Here in Maine it's a complete waste of money that I'm so glad she did not waste her money on the better more expensive one I'm gonna throw this fucking piece of shit right in the garbage where it belongs yet to write belongs it is only good if the snow is light and fluffy 6 to 8" Max with pretty much no wind other than that it sucks I've used it 1 time when I thought it worked OK the other 4 times

I'm thinking about getting one of these for the back deck. My concern is that using it on such high drifts, higher than the blower, would burn out the motor.

Just take it slower. Had a nasty snow storm in Ontario Canada about a month ago where we got 16-20" and my Snow Joe worked really well. I've had it overheat in the past so this time I helped ease pressure on the motor by first using a spade to chop up and loosen the snow before each pass. It didn't require much effort at all but made the snow easier to handle. We had another snow storm last week (8") and I did my driveway as well my neighbours without any problems. Beats the heck out of shoveling, and it's light enough to carry to the basement when winter is finally over.

And this is why I want nothing to do with cord run snow throwers, or lawn mowers. I've seen my neighbor chew up a cord with her lawnmower two times. I know a breaker should shut off, but it just makes me nervous. As I watched the video that little machine could move some snow. How about a video on heavy snow next time.

We got 21.8 inches of snow from snow storm izzy and my snow joe took care of it all including what the plow left at foot of driveway, it was heavy snow too but it got through it all no problem, the snow was higher then my snow joe but nothing stopped it, my snow joe performed better then some of the gas powered snow blowers I've had and there is no maintenance, just plug it in and go, I highly recommend it!
