I just can't listen to any SM artists song, they always sound like I've heard before and when i can't figure out where I heard it i lose my sh*t. It's really frustrating from my perspective

Mbk entertainment have lost a lot because it hadn't known how to make their talented group and solos been on top like t-ara and they haven't solved the scandal,Seeya,Gavy nj,5dolls , the seeya,Dia, Shannon williams , Jung Da Kyung....all voices in that company were amazing

I live in America & became a K-pop fan in early 2023. Naturally, Girls' Generation was an instant favorite. This was a great, educational video! I only wish that someone would write a book on the history of SNSD (thus far) as soon as possible. Because they are a crucial part of modern music.

This tribute is what made me find SHINee on the 18th of July, 2022. I was new to Kpop and the title caught my attention. I was like ‘who’s this ethereal man that changed Kpop’. I didn’t know he was gone then, just curious about the video. I cried when shinin played at 9:41 . After doing some more research, I remember listening to Jonghyun’s blue night radio in my lowest days. Didn’t do much research into who he was back then. But It later clicked that this person, and his group had been comforting me, but I didn’t know. When my friend died in school, I listened to breathe and end of a day a lot. I didn’t know it was all Jonghyun. SHINee’s ‘Fire’ kept me through hard days of being bullied in middle school. But yet again, I didn’t know the artists, just the song 🫠. I got this video recommended again, after almost two years. I want to tear up because this is where my Shawol journey started. Thankyou for covering Jonghyun.

ALSO funny enough, I was a HUGE fan of Varsity Fanclub. Like obessesed. The pipeline from VFC to liking kpop was one heck of a pipeline, but I'm not surprised.

The main criticism here seems to be that SM Entertainment has released a lot of songs that weren't original to them. Every Beatles song that you ever heard on the radio has been covered multiple times - not much of an exaggeration. And if you look at the songs that were direct 'copies', released in Korean, the original writers are credited. (And I have no shares of SM stock.)

I know the pop songs more and more than the kpop versions 🙄

FYI, Genie was NOT a remake of Nathalie Makoma's "I Just Wanna Dance". While the KZfaq MV was uploaded in 2011, the copyright in the description says 2010. Genie by Girls Generation was released June 25, 2009. Sorry to say but I can't trust any of these now unless I vet them out.
