The steel is sold for scrap, the motors are torn apart for their copper. Everything has its use. They are already taking apart the motor to separate the copper, aluminum and steel. A few dollars more gets the silver out of the fittings. I don’t see the big deal. Over there, the prices are a lot higher, and the new parts cost a fortune. We throw so much away here it’s ridiculous. A few decades ago, parts from your old car could be used in a new car. Then, the bean counters happened.

Its silver they used nitric acid nitric acid wont touch gold unless under about 30 percent purity then they added what looked like salt to precipitate silver chloride.

Whats nickel ..he probably used nitric acid to get the gold to solution then precipitated it by using copper and peroxide or somn if there's nickel its very little now bc nitric erodes all other base metals besides your precious gold platinum palladium whatnot ..lolo
