I am so grateful for Family History and the opportunity that I have to go to the temple reasonably weekly. Even with having 7 kids and 5 still at home. I love Ordinance Ready. I feel you about time to do videos Joni! I have a job too and chickens and we do beekeeping. And we have 3 KZfaq channels! 1 that's Catch the Buzz, Faith based media and family. 2nd Love Notes From God, my channel about being a temple worker, my missions, seeing God's love notes to us in every day life. And Lord of the Sting that's about beekeeping! It's such an exciting opportunity to speak to and with people and learn and share. PS, I always like, comment and subscribe 😉

Thank you for your channel. I just watched your video on when you went to the temple. So I've had this impression to start a youtube channel about family history. I find that it's a lot like what you are doing. I should have known about this because I saw you on Christian Homestead, but its important to follow your promptings which is what I am learning. Keep up the good work!

I struggle from time to time with depressive disorder, and I knew exactly what you were talking about when you said you have been doing all the right things to invite the Spirit to be with you, yet you haven't been able to feel it for a while. I had years of my life like that and it's such a sore unpleasant trial. With the depression, it just feeds into the feelings of failure or just the feeling of what must I be doing wrong even though you know you actually are doing your best, etc. Just wanted you to know I've experienced it and that I've learned from talking to others, it's a common characteristic to depression. I'm glad it seems you're making progress in therapy and are starting to feel the Spirit again. I just wanted you to know you're not alone. 😊

Thank-you for sharing this with me. You described perfectly how I’ve felt. I’m sorry you have dealt with this for longer periods. It’s awful and I understand who it’s hard to come out of. I started taking medication which has helped me. Dealing with trauma makes it worsen for me but I want to work through the trauma so I can live a happier life. I will keep you in my prayers. If you can, go to the temple as much as possible or do family history work, it has helped strengthen me and I know it will you to.🙏🏼

Thank you Joni! Recently I have come across people that have been added as a husband or wife with no sources and then I check into it and it makes no sense. But it's not easy to just remove someone especially when there are kids. So frustrating. It's sad too because of how many names get done at the temple that shouldn't be whether because of mistakes like this or duplicates. I'm glad people are trying. I pray whenever I do a merge or am not sure. I love it when I find missing children. Sealed 3 families yesterday. I'm only 6 minutes in. Thanks for this information

Thanks for your comment. They’re making merging and unmerging relationships easier. If you go to the parent and child relationship (pencil icon next to a persons name) on a person’s detail section you can remove and edit those child and parent relationships which helps in fixing those relationship mistakes. That’s awesome you sealed 3 families yesterday. Performing sealings are my favorite. Happy searching to you and let me know how I can help you in anyway with your research. 😀

Thank you for sharing.. I like the beautiful picture of the temple in the background. You are absolutely right; it feels different when we do not sense the presence of the Holy Ghost. When we are accustomed to feeling it constantly and suddenly do not, it can indeed feel strange. I have learned to pray and reflect during these times, asking if there is something I need to repent for that might be causing this absence. Nevertheless, Christ's extended hands always lift me up and help me get back on track. I hope you are doing well. Dr. I

I like this presentation. The concept of heritage takes on a profound meaning when linked to the spiritual realm. By connecting our genealogy with heaven, we are reminder of the eternal aspect of our identity and lineage. It's a poignant reminder that our true heritage is not only grounded in Christ but also extends beyond earthly boundaries, reaching towards the celestial realm. Thanks for this presentation. -DR.I

I like your guest comment on relationships, notably the exploration of divorce and the endeavor to escape a violent relationship. This explains the profound reflection on the transformative potential inherent in seemingly adverse experiences. Knowing that individuals may unwittingly navigate such relationships explains a universal human condition. Despite the inherent pain associated with these circumstances, there is a recognition that the divine orchestrates lessons from such trials, thereby turning experiences for individual betterment. This transformative dimension not only fortifies one's resilience but also underscores the redemptive potential inherent in adversities, as Christ, in benevolence, crafts instructive lessons from the diverse tapestry of human experiences. The expressed gratitude for sharing this narrative shows how relationships' are multifaceted and the intrinsic value embedded within ostensibly painful junctures, emphasizing the profound learning and spiritual enrichment that can arise through a divine perspective. Watching this video where you shared your temple experience was truly moving for me. I appreciated how you spoke passionately about the gospel of Christ and your unwavering belief in Him. Your willingness to open up and share personal experiences added authenticity to the narrative, making it more relatable. The account of your baptism into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints struck a chord with me, evoking a deep sense of emotion. I was touched by your understanding of the restoration of the priesthood in these latter days, showing a profound connection to the core tenets of faith in Christ. What stood out the most was the constant focus on Christ throughout the video, grounding the narrative and emphasizing the transformative power of the gospel in their life. Dr. I

Hi Jonie. Do you know the best Polish sources for family history?

After pondering about this since my first reply to this comment I would start with the research wiki page and search Polish records. It will let you know what’s available and will also let you know what records aren’t available and for what reason. They’ll usually have links to the sources of the records that are available. Hope this helps 😀

I use family tree maker to keep in sync with family’s search. It will update with ancestry also so they all stay up to date. My heritage syncs with family search up to 8 generations also. The genealogy software is getting better at doing this with family search! 😀 I was able to upload over 110,000 relatives from familysearch into family tree maker and from there I uploaded that tree into ancestry. I have a video on how I did that also In the family tree maker playlist. It’s pretty neat! So now I work from that familysearch tree I uploaded into ancestry from FTM because they’re all synced together now
