wow... 'JET'.... As a "Intermediate/Advance Modeler" ... I must say that 'MENG' tanks are pretty........ MEAN!!! The intricacies of Just the wheels alone, taking almost half of this video was a bit painful to watch....BUT Well Worth the time you took showing how to develop our Own "assembly line" process of putting those wheels together!! And the suspension..... I can't tell you How MUCH Appreciative it is for somebody else ( including my own tank = Leopard 2 AVLB ) to show what Could/Did go wrong in assembly ( I had a few of those with the 'Hobby Boss' Leo2 AVLB ). I look forward in seeing this kit get built to Final Product....as I too have the same kit!!

Man, that's just awesome. Thanks for commenting on how you'd do it differently. It gives me ideas, but I'll probably build mine the same way here. I've got it in my notes anyway. What size is that wire you use for the head and tail lights? Thanks for building this kit again. I appreciate the help it gives me. See ya next time.

Thanks again for the great tips and thorough build review! Btw, thanks for nipper shaming me… I own a pair of the GHs and if I’m being honest, they have saved me a ton of time with sanding, cutting delicate parts safely and overall performance. I guess it ended up being worth the $60 in the long run. but hey, to each is own I guess?!😬

@@user-xk4lh9xl7i hey you’re welcome. I’m glad that you like my videos as for the god hand yeah each of their own I would just rather spend my money on model kits or paint. I would think that you still have to do some sanding even though they cut really close. I’m sure there’s a bit of stuff still there.

Man, I've gotten so many ideas and explanations from this video series. I really appreciate it. I've taken notes on my instruction sheet to make note of what needs to be done to get the right effect. You definitely mastered putting those broken shackles on the tank. The gauge cluster looked awesome when done. Im really impressed with your skills. Thank you very much for doing this series.

Here's a cool tidbit i learned from Marcus Nichols. Use black oil paint and of course take most of it off and drrybrush the sprockets and the teeth on the tracks. It adds a ton of depth and it's pretty simple. Just tossing it out there. Good job either way.

Despite being an hour long that was pretty entertaining . I build a lot Dragon kits and as you say tolerances are tight and sometimes a bit of light sanding is needed. Also the 'shackle' incident has happened to me as well, just like that. Dragon parts are thinner than most other makes and even cutting from the sprue can weaken a fine part. You dont even notice and then all of a sudden its in 2 pieces. 🫣 Good luck going forward 👍

@JETScaleModels
@JETScaleModels Ай бұрын
Yes, I did spray hairspray between the yellow and green sections. ( I think I mentioned it in the video?) Thanks for commenting! It's actually a very straightforward idea, so I wouldn't overthink it. The process is simple: start with the paint, then maybe add a clear coat depending on your needs. After that, spray the hairspray, followed by the next color. If necessary, you can repeat this process to achieve the desired effect.

Another great video! Coming down to the wire too. I never could get masks to work right either. Just did them by hand like you do. If it works, don't mess with it. What kind of airbrush do you have? I've got one that's probably 50 years old. I bought it at a Sherwin Williams paint store when i was in high school. The brand name is Binks. Like most of the professional automotive painters use except way smaller. Getting back into models again and now need a different prescription for my glasses. If it ain't one thing, it's half a dozen others. Still taking notes too. You're doing a jam up job on the videos. I enjoy them very much. I appreciate all the trouble you must go through to make em. Thank you.

I’ve got several different ones from my water to pass VL to another one and another one. I’ll mention it maybe in the next video if I remember, it’s not that I’m having a difficulty with stencils. I don’t mind stencils. I actually have a cameo silhouette to cut my own, but if you’re referring to masks like that, I think the lettering is just too small for it to get cut properly so that’s why I went with the decals. Thanks for the support and taking the time to comment
