On the 1972 Dodge Challenger are the quarter panels you are using from AUTO METAL DIRECT? I have the same car and will be doing the same thing. If so how are the lined to original panel? Thank You.
@DachsAutos
@DachsAutos 11 күн бұрын
@mattsecuro2968 Yes, the Mopar certified AMD panel. Much better quality than the Sherman panel we tried first. This car has seen it's share of past life, so some things needed some massaging, but the panel itself is solid quality, which the price reflects.

Interesting that most of it fit in a Pack Rat 20' storage container. Toolboxes are in the house garage and vehicles are covered outside.. Guess it's a good time to re-organize when everything goes back in! 4000sq ft shouldn't have been that cramped.

@DachsAutos
@DachsAutos Ай бұрын
I'm not sure, it was provided by the customer. He had ordered some other parts as well (battery box, etc) and they were never delivered. - This trunk filler did not fit well either, so, not something I would suggest. -- Might want to check with these guys, and see if they have anything, or suggestions. - www.wildcatmopars.com - I used them for some parts on the Challenger rebuild. I’m sure you know by now but the calipers are on the wrong side. You have the left caliper on the right side and vice versa. Bleed screws ALWAYS go on the TOP otherwise air will be trapped in the caliper. Just like a thermostat. The jiggle air valve goes at the top to bleed air out. (and the wax pellet part faces the engine block-very important).
@DachsAutos

Yup, but due to the parts store mess up and the need to use the truck, that's how it ended up. It'll get fixed some day when i feel bored enough to spill brake juice all over the floor.

How much do you think it would cost to have someone replace the top? Would it be a good thing to go through my insurance? My top is ripped right along the top part of the back window and I’m wanting to just replace it and I’m wondering how much you think it’s going to cost me? It’s for a 2001 GT that is in really good condition except for the tear across the seam of the window 🤪

Here's the link to the cover- www.subarudirectwholesale.com/oem-parts/subaru-cushion-cover-64140al09ewm - I've found with a few other parts, there can be some 'dealer' options added post build that don't make it on the VIN inventory, but not sure a whole interior color would be swapped out.
