SO thankful that Jesus didn’t “command” the Father when He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane and ASKED that the cup would pass, or tell Him that He would “embarrass” Himself. If He prayed a disrespectful prayer like that we all probably wouldn’t be here now! Much love and respect for you Pastor Tony, but I believe it was the humble, respectful prayer that you and the staff prayed that God honored!

No, you’re not missing something, Tiny Evans did. I have the greatest respect for him as a teacher, but I believe he got caught up in an emotional moment. It appears blasphemous to not only “command” our Heavenly Father, but to tell Him that He would “embarrass” Himself is beyond disrespectful! I’m more convinced that the effectual prayer that was honored was the one that Tony Evans and the other saints prayed, NOT the prayer of Linda. What’s even worse was how the congregation got all worked up and were cheering while this message was being delivered. Instead, a hush should have fallen over the congregation.

That illustration made absolutely no sense. People are complaining that God is not providing so how does it make sense that God provided for you in that video? That video was a display of selfishness which is not the issue

God, as our Father, commanded us, His children (His representatives on this earth) to feed the poor. If we are not obeying God, we are selfishly stuffing our own faces with the surplus He intended for us to distribute to others.
