I just had a one-night stay at EJAA HOMESTAYZ... and here is my honest and true feedback about them. 1> We booked 2 weeks in advance for our stay here and even did 50% payment in advance. 2> It was told to us that the location is close to the Mall Road and Lake and one can easily reach there. But in reality, Upon reaching Mall Road near the INDIA HOTEL, we discovered that the homestay was situated at a high altitude, and you need to take a cab (especially if you have luggage) and NO Cab driver was ready to go to Ejaa Stayz as it was at the very top and the conditions of the roads was not great because of potholes. After asking multiple drivers for 45 mins + finally one guy got ready to drop us that too for 500 INR up the hill. (Really we paid 500 INR for just 1KM) 3> On reaching the top you have to walk 100m as the car can't reach the homestay. So good luck with your bags. 4> On reaching the stay we were offered only one Bath towel, and asked if we were carrying our own soap, No dustbin in the room to throw the trash, plus the size of the bathroom and room is very small. 5> After some rest we finally decided to go to Mall Road, BUT Again nothing was available at that height so we were compelled to walk downhills. 6> Meanwhile, they were offering us scooty at 800 INR i.e 2400 INR for 2 days and 1 day after 5pm (the day we reached), But on mall road we got a scooty in good condition at 500 INR only and the guy Pankaj was so nice that he didn't charge anything extra for the night and total cost was 1000 INR only. 7> Later at 8:30 pm we started from mall road to Ejaa stay and it was tough to drive in the dark towards the steep up hills that too with crazy potholes on the way. Also, they don't have parking space at the top so we just adjusted here and there. 8> As we have decided to have 3 day stay there for which we already paid 50%. The next day morning we wanted to leave the homestay because we were so upset with the location as it was far, compared to the descriptions. And even the thought of going downhill every time giving a headache. Additionally, room condition, washroom, towel, soap, Dustin etc is like (Karela vo be neem per chada) 9> Disappointed with our experience, particularly the misleading location description and subpar facilities, we decided to check out the next morning despite having paid for a three-day stay (50% paid in advance). Our request to adjust the unused portion against the food bill (605 INR) was bluntly refused by the owner, who was quite rude. later after so many urges we had to pay (605 INR) above the extra money we deposited for 3-day stay. 10> Normally the checkout time in Nanital hotels is 10 AM and it is raining that day. And he forced us to checkout at 8:45 AM only and he even said "NIKLO YHA SE" 11> So after leaving from there we managed to go downhill in the rain with 3 bags in 2 rounds of scooty back and forth. 12> Overall, our experience at EJAA HOMESTAYZ was far from pleasant, costing us extra money and leaving us with a bitter start to our visit in Nainital. All thanks to Ejaa Homestayz and his owner.
