When I think of Dante, the smell I imagine is cheap cologne and pizza. Cheap cologne because he want to keep up the cool guy image but can't afford the expensive stuff. And pizza because he's frickin' Dante.

Dante seems like a guy that will grab what ever soap/shampoo is on sale be it "girly" or not and will probably use dishwasher & laundry soap if he had no other options
@LeyvatenLoop
@LeyvatenLoop Жыл бұрын
Never underestimate dishwasher as a shampoo replacement, if you don't need any extra stuff from shampoos (like a shampoo that also hydrates or helps against dandruff or whatever) and you only need the cleaning, it's actually really good

When I was in highshool I tried my best to show my anime hobby on the outside positively, to show other anime fans that they can stop hiding and come out. No idea if it changed something for someone, but I'm sure it was a fuel for thoughts for people. Since then, my philosophy is to never be ashamed of who you are. The moment you're ashamed of your own hobbies, you stop being yourself, in short - you die as a person you are. It's better to have someone laugh at you, then to lute them into becoming your friend and getting stuck at having to pretend you're someone else for the sake of a person that wouldn't even respect your hobbies. Show people who you are right from the start, so the ones that become your friends will not be fake ones.

Pretty much the same thing for me about anime in middle school. I took heat from all sides, even from some of my family members. But I learned not to take it personal and just wait until they get bored of criticizing me.

During 2004-2011, was a rough time to be an Anime fan. Let alone I'm a sports guy, so Anime and sports kinda like double edge swords. Some people look up to me, but sometimes I'm afraid for what I like. Nowdays, Anime became a trend, which is a good thing. But the most stupid thing I witnessed are the “Power Scaling" and “the Mid" arguments. I'm just glad we been fed better anime and manga every year.

Fauna and Mumei grew up in the same generation I did. You would get bullied and made fun of if you liked anime. It’s crazy how 10-15 years later its perfectly normal and accepted…

I loved anime since childhood till now. I don't give a damn about what other people say about me. I watch anime basically everywhere and at loud volume too. And all my friends sometimes watch with me. I'm a normie/otaku and i like what i like. I work to earn like a normal person and i like to do my hobbies to relieve stress. Don't listen and let them dictate what they say about you. Just do whatever you like to do as long as you don't bother anyone.

I got lucky and was adopted by the local gunpla/anime shop in middle school because I can paint gunpla and watches a fair amount of anime and Jpop. Basically they let me use their painting workshop and there's a TV there for advertising anime and we can play whatever anime they have in stock. And when customer ask something that the clerk don't know, they'd turn to me. I was there til they close almost everyday. So outside of school, mid/highschool period was awesome for me.

I know that feeling. I grew up in America before anime became popular, back in the 80s and 90s. Those were dark times. The best you could hope for in the mid 90s was the original Sailor Moon dub or maybe an errant Dragon Ball episode that was shown on some random channel at like 5 AM on a Sunday. Pokemon, Toonami, etc. didn't premiere in the States until I was in high school, and almost nobody would admit to watching them. Only the losers/geeks/artists brought their Game Boys (and Neo Geo Pocket Colors!) to school. Imagine watching something like DBZ or Cowboy Bebop for the first time and not having anyone else to talk about it with. I _still_ have unopened Pokemon card booster packs from the first gen. Skip forward about 25 years, and everything you'd get bullied for back then is now incredibly popular and part of mainstream public discourse.
