I think if you install this version Techstream v.14.30.023 you don’t need anything else and should not update and have internet off so it doesn’t try to update. It was few l years back they may change some requirementsc on new version

You need to use revert for specific firmware that you use, contact tswift with request

@@DontMindMeMining It's for ks0 ultra and it's the same file that everyone downloads from telegram, it's not purchased, you understand, but I just downloaded it from telegram and the revert file is not with the firmware.

​​if you were using DF4 you don’t need revert. It is only for DF3 and previous versions of firmware that was bricking the miner if revert not used. If you only downloadedv now new firmware and never used other firmware’s, you don’t have to worry about revert.

Ks5m and KS5L and ultra seams to be same firmware from the factory. You cannot install KS3M firmware on Ultra or LS5l/M, it’s just fails.

Check/replace Ethernet cable first then check router or switch issue or use cable from working device

For overclocked firmware need to use different power supply. I used 330W

I have my BMKSMAX pretty stable for almost a year with fruition design and AC infinity fan. Was not planning repasting that one but let me know if you do and if any change.

If you had chips going over 100C i would recomend repasting prior immersion, but if the chips were in normal range and didn't exceed 90C I wouldn't worry about repasting. However it is still a good idea to repaste cuz old pink paste dries out quicker.

No, different algorithms means different chips.

I’ve shipped back to iceriver for repair. They just flushed firmware looks like and shipped back to me. I had to pay shipping to Hong Kong like $78 back 7-8 month ago. Now you can try devs or have them remotely connect to your KS0 to unbrick. Currently we figuring solution for KS0 ultra to unbrick it. Stay tuned it may work for KS0 original as well but not 100% sure.

It didn’t make a soft start it just eliminates starting at night so now it’s totally quiet and I love it.

During the day it was about 85-90F. Last part in the morning was about 68-70. It’s get cooler nights so second fan will hopefully never kicks in lol

They have gaskets around the access and the dry cooler looks like designed to be outdoor installed. They do not recommend point sprayers into the radiator but outside and I agree it’s waisted a lot of water so I replaced sprayer’s heads with foggers and have them on the temperature controlled app when air above 85F that’s when I have foggers turn on. But that’s on separate video that I have.

@@ryandugan it sounds very simple but how to reprogram to original firmware no one has clue and keeping a secret. Do you have a good instruction and actual files to replace. I think crypto440 managed access UART through 6 pin connector but what next?

@@DontMindMeMiningI’ve actually written the general instructions about this many times in multiple discord channels. The files xyys firmware replaces which causes the asic to be ‘bricked’ are the firmware signature public keys. I’ve uploaded the originals in my github repo under ‘extras’. I’ve been trying to work with someone to do a video on this, but the shipping on his hardware has been taking a long time.

These types of miners are usually application specific ic's, or ASICs. That means they're specific to an algorithm, on a silicon level. They will only work for another algorithm if it uses the same cryptographic scheme underneath.

@@johnnyboy2459 CPUs and FPGAs are general compute and can be programmed to execute code or arrange into sets of logic gates to perform custom tasks. ASICs have no such flexibility. They have the software part of the algorithm hardcoded in silicon logic gates. They cannot be rearranged in software or programmed like a CPU. They can only do that one tasks.

Yes. I've orderded almost every asic from him except when he said to order directly from iceriver when they didn't have a better price, with iceriver I paid so much in the customs that not worth it. His price includes delivery and customs i believe. But nto a good time to buy now so DYOR. He has contact at fog hashing I believe as well but ordered prior asking him as I got pretty good deal on the shipping which was super expensive at that time few month ago.

@@DontMindMeMining thanks for responding brother. No it's the original paid version... He wouldnt give me the updated paid version unless I was having issues... Which I wasn't at the time... I've reverted back.. Said successful, but I can't log into the GUI now. I checked the IP address, it's still the same.. It's even getting warm a bit making me think it's mining, but I can't get into it... I need to fiddle some more... I'm gonna try the reset switch soon.

You can try revert_update again wouldn't hurt or see if you can access from management tool and update firmware from there

I was thinking to try Heatsink Thermoelectric Cooler 10x10mm but they way too expensive like $10 each and only 8W max not sure if that even enough W to cool down the mosfets.

yes, need air path through for sure to cool all other components, next copper block will be with holes drilled through, will see if it helps. Main point of it that it is easy to install and dont have to wait for thermal glue to dry, i have a thinner block as well that 6mm not sure if that helps.

yeah, lots of heat to dissipate, from those mosfets mainly how quickly can it be done. In my case the ambinet temp is a very huge factor

So, I have 7ks0 family and 2 AL0 ordered. May pickup some more ks0 ultra or even ks0 pro if they are cheap enough. Been thinking if anyone has taken them out of the case and just dunk them in an immersion cooling setup. I guess you could dunk the entire thing but you could get a lot in a tank just the motherboards.

@@TheMiningCabinet I was wondering about that, if chips can handle temps without heatsink then can just remove the board and dunk in the fluid but may still need heatsink somekind on the chips

@@DontMindMeMining Yeah pretty sure they are sourcing them from China aswell . By the way have you tested iBeLink 6.0.40 firmware ? Tried it quickly but i didn't see any improvement in terms of stability . It also appears they removed the ability to play with min and max temp , now you can only set frequency and voltage .

@@alb9229yeah, using 6.0.40 firmware besides color icons don’t see much difference still cannot overclock higher than 460 only voltage has a play room (original firmware was able to go to 480 or 490 I think but undated firmware after a week so didn’t have a chance to test it). Still have temp settings for temperature under other settings.

@@DontMindMeMining Oh you still have temp control , that's weird , on mine it was no longer possible. I assume you run the same voltage shown in your last video for the 460 ? If so what temps do you get during this period ?

For last 2-3 month it was not worth buying any ASICS specially Kaspa with monthly emission schedule and hashrate doubling every month. KS5L may not be profitable in 1-2 month at all if Kaspa price not going to go 3x. So yes purchasing a coin in this scenario is less risky I guess.

@@DontMindMeMining Yeah the emission schedule alone would had been ok but the crazy jump in difficulty is what hurts individual miners the most . Don't see kaspa x3 this soon , maybe towards the end of the year . If it x3 relatively soon then we are for sure heading towards over 1$ during the peak of the bull run imo .
