I just found the solutions you need to add some tension when closing the lid because the last battery doesn't touch the metal plate it gets caught by the plastic

This worked. Just had to apply some extra pressure when closing the lid and clamping it down. Guessing why BD has been trying to get rid of these for a few months now on their outlet.
