Just found this podcast as I'm getting in to FaB. Picked up a few blitz decks along with the Boltyn and Kayo Armory decks. Been watching games since US Nats and finally taking the leap. Super excited to get into this! Really enjoying the podcast and I've got a few episodes to catch up on :D

I like how he won't actually own up to messing up on the Zen call. "Maybe I messed up", "Idk if I messed up", who can say right? "I don't want to mince words" was later said, literally no ownership of a mistake. A very obvious mistake. You either messed up or didn't but don't dance around it. Really poor thinking on this subject, does not build confidence in this guy, really not selling himself well here. Zen was and still is a mistake.

I am not sure I agree with scraping things together to make braodcast productions and waiting for a larger audience. At some point they are going to have to invest more into that side of their game to help it grow.

I'm new to exploring FAB (so far been trying it on inktable and purchased a few armories that I have sleeved and tried solo vs each other), but am really struggling with picking up and understanding the game. Even on inktable where I know the AI is pretty bad I feel like I am not understanding it or really doing well at all. I keep thinking maybe this game is just beyond me, but when I see Bryan or James speak I know this is a game space and community that is worth being a part of and one that I want to try and get into. Hopefully it will click for me at some point. Enjoyed the interview.

Absolutely fantastic interview, giving Bryan the space to thoroughly answer questions! As far as positives the armory decks have been fantastic! Having a cheap way to get a deck they can go to toe with my friends was amazing. I just couldn't afford to get into CC before and the armory decks have been a godsend. Also super excited that Bryan went on a bit of a ramble when asked about the pronouns of Rosetta heroes. As someone who has a lot of people dear to me across different forms of gender representation knowing that that is something the company thinks about and is looking to represent in future has me very excited. :)

Knowing that there is a bit of criticism towards MST, and while I do share some of it as well, I have to say I was a bit surprised at the overall negative tone of the interview. Firstly, I’d like to say I have a very limited vision of FaB because I only started playing earlier this year but, from the comfort of my home, I’d say that both PTs were a huge success and an absolute pleasure to follow. RTN and Nationals season as well. I’d also like to add what I believe to be a very positive outcome of MST and Zen. Here in Japan, it’s filling armories all over the place AND giving players a positive experience. It’s very welcoming to have new players come in and win games, even without cards like AoW or Shuko, even if it’s from high-rolling. Of course, the players on the receiving end get a different taste of it but, new players have shown up week after week, knowing that there is a deck they can use to come in and win games. And that gives them a good feeling about Flesh and Blood. I’m very excited about receiving Worlds here in a couple of months, my only concern being wether the organization here will be up to the gigantic task or not… 😅

@@pedromarinho8013 Hi Bud, I think we addressed some tough topics during the episode, but I personally wouldn’t call the tone negative! We focused on the positives and how there is a balance. We know that the game kicks ass and people are having a great time all over the world!

@@freshandbuds, thank you for the reply. Maybe it was the lighting, it was kinda dark adding to the “doom and gloom” felling, especially in the beginning. For sure, there were some topics to try and balance it out with some pros later. And I think it is important to have conversations about difficult issues, personally, just felt like I needed to add some more positivity, that’s all. 😅

I'm just going to throw my two cents in on the Zen banning LSS should do whatever is necessary to make the format healthy. I don't care what they do or when they do it. I don't care if it would inconvenience me. I believe that for the game to be healthy and to grow any step is necessary to make it work and people who bitch that it was too soon before a Pro Tour or they bitch that it was their favorite hero or they bitch that they should have let it shake out longer. Need to stop.
