How about an instructional on "how to back up a trailer and dolly (cowboy back) to build a set"? I just got into feeders recently and would like to learn this eventually.

"UPS TRUCKER KILLED IN ROAD RAGE INCIDENT". While demonstrating a technique for a training video a driver was shot by an impatient commuter. Who felt that the truck slowed down too soon to make the turn without tipping over. Just kidding! But you all know crap like this always will happen.

Huge respect for UPS. worked there 7 yrs. Got me thru college and worked there a little bit after graduation. It made me more of a better, proactive, and aware driver on the road. This video illustrates why. Thank you for the insight.

Just came on to the video to ask.! Why is almost every Trucker a Crying Moaning Bitc* that thinks everyone should cater to them? And why do most of them have entitlment isssues? (BOO HOOO THEY GOT IN MY LANE WHAAA!). WTF? Im pretty much mentally disabled, and drive a truck and dont bijch as much as some of these guys on these videos.... People cut you off! People gotta take a shit, and block the fuel aisle, BIG FUCCING DEAL! First come first serve is the REAL RULE! Get up, be first! People come up with rules of there own and expect everyone else to follow some fairy tale they made up in thier mind...

So if you supply the dolly with air will the brakes lock up?
@UPSLawnsideFeeders7 ай бұрын
The air would just drain cause UPS doesn’t use air chocks, like other freight companies, when pulling a dolly only you really don’t wanna have brakes on the dolly it would drag and smoke up like crazy anyway. Thanks for the comment!

The first time I was ever at Times Square I was shocked to see a feeder driving through there heading east. I couldn’t imagine that there was a hub anywhere nearby in the middle of the city. I’ve since met someone who worked there and told me a lot about the building, the spiral ramps that you use to take trailers up five stories, etc. I was expecting you to drive through Times Square (which seems insane to me, by the way.)

@UPSLawnsideFeeders Жыл бұрын
Kiwan, if you already work for UPS, the path is usually work your way up to Package car then up to Feeders(big trucks). Some hubs do hire directly from off the streets but you would need to get your license at a school

I've told myself for years now I'll never cross that bridge into NYC in any vehicle larger than a pickup truck. But I found out the new Middletown PA hub does have routes that take you into NYC. For $34/hr I'll take that big 'ol truck in there if I have to. I hope they'll at least train and teach me the basics of NYC in addition to this video I found. Thanks! I'm an off the street hire who starts training on the 10th. I'm willing to do nights and weekends, 100 turns, whatever it is. So as long as I don't get called in on one, I certainly won't be bidding on a NYC route.
