I don't know why I am so offended by imitation people. God would never replace a man, his child, with a dead machine. Are there no men who can and will read? AI is chilling.

So many profound and helpful concepts. Orthodoxy has so much to teach the whole Church. Pity about the sectarianism which will make it so much harder for them to receive it though.

Thank you so much for putting this wonderful book on line! There is a lot of questionably orthodox content online today which can really confuse inquirers so it is wonderful to find a channel making truly excellent books available for us all! I will pass your channels info on to as many folks as I can 😊 please continue to add to this very important work as you are able to- like the loaves and the fish the lord multiplied - we never know how our own small efforts may be used by God and be increased to help and bless many we will only know in the next life. Thank you and may God bless you!

The ignorant western mind maybe is not aware of this catholic teaching, but you find this in Saint Thomas Aquinas, Saint Teresa of Avila, Saint John of the Cross, and many others, so please just stop this nonsensical fallacy of west vs east.

I don't understand the Orthodox blanket criticism of Protestantism. Nearly everything in this book I have heard preached from a Baptist pulpit. I loved the book very much!

Because as Christ prayed “Father may they be one as we are one” His will is for the Church to be one, not just spiritually but also on a physical level, just as he became incarnate for us here on earth and united the nature of man and God in one person.

@@paulr5246 Well, I have always been taught to treat people of other denominations as fellow believers as long as they are sound on the fundamentals of the faith. For example, I don't speak in tongues, but I can still speak with charismatics about the saving blood of Jesus. I don't venerate icons but I can also speak and fellowship with Orthodox christians. I don't fellowship with Mormons or JW's (among others) because they deny things like the deity of Christ and the trinity. They are religions of works, not grace. Anyway, thanks for your reply and may the grace of our Lord and Savior be with you!

@@teddy122389 being charitable to others and having a preference for those with a more correct understanding (the creed) does not have to prevent us from uniting with the Apostolic body that traces its roots to the Apostles themselves.

So what's with the Russian schism with Constantinople... And why are there so many over lapping jurisdictions in America? They talk a big game about one visible church, but they are not nearly as united as they would have you believe. Orthodox tend to be insular, i excuse their bigotry on that basis... And for love of Christ.

As a person who was a practicing evangelical for 20 or so years - who then became catholic and was a practicing Catholic for 25 years - I have recently come to home to orthodoxy I can tell you that there are profound differences between western and eastern Christianity that are not easy to explain because it is much deeper than the intellectual approach that western Christianity relies on. There are profound theological differences in several areas which make the meaning of what is discussed in this book quite different than the western take many of the people who are commenting here have made. The language may be familiar but the definitions are different which then makes the meaning of those words different. If anyone cares to learn about the differences you could start by going to the websites of one of the Orthodox Churches or Ancient Faith Radio that has many resources and podcasts that can start you out - and you could always visit an Orthodox Church. As for all the different “churches “ this is another misunderstanding. All orthodox churches hold the same beliefs-use the exact same liturgy (written in the 400’s) have the same practices and have the exact same sacraments. The only difference between them is the country they are in and therefore the language used. So what happened in the states? Immigration- as orthodox people came from Russia, Greece, Bulgaria , etc they brought priests with them . There is no big hierarchy in orthodoxy (unlike the Catholics) so each priest serves under the direction of their bishop who still live in their country of origin and suddenly you have a variety of orthodox churches based in the countries of the people they are serving -the people who have moved to a new land. So today we have a Greek Orthodox church and a Russian Orthodox Church etc- all exactly the same and who now do many of their services in English. In the 1970s the Orthodox Church in America was formed to be a totally north American expression of orthodoxy. Eventually I believe all the orthodox churches in North America will come together in a unified form but it will be complicated and take awhile. The important take away from all this info? You can go to any Orthodox Church in your community and other than some very slight cultural differences and the possibility of a different language- you have exactly the same experience because the church truly is one. So basically- don’t let the names fool you. These are not separate denominations- just the result of immigration 100 or so years ago.

Panentheosia is more than Salvation, Unconditioned Deliverance, Transfiguration and Glorification of the Restored Ribless Unfallen Anthropos (Iteration of Emanation 'Adamhevah').... It is foretasting the perfect and supreme identification with our source and the "reconquest of the abiding Peace and Timeless awareness" which is one mark of Incorrupt Martyrs and Theurgical Asketics who are like Enoch, Elijah, Lykurgos, and possibly those who had both the vital plenitude and purest direct perception, deep effective active incorporation as metanoia by self-remembering, which IS neither nihilistic despair, illusions dreamed in desperate hubris nor inverted usurpation. It is union with our inheritance and true heritage, within the Infinite Possible Forms of The Noosphere "Prepared For Us As Mansions By Our Inexpressible 'I AM'".
