I remember when we played Inter at the san siro. Why was a uefa fixture played on a weekday at around lunch time? I remember because i was a kid and i had to pretend to my teacher i had a dentist appointment so i could go home and watch it. Bloody marvellous mum for letting me do that. Im a Londoner born and bred but always loved Noriwch. It was a great time to give it to all them Arsenal fans. We were on the clouds then.

I'm not a Norwich fan, but still, this is an interesting video, chronicling Norwich's first-ever promotion to The (old) First Division. It was maybe a bit ironic that Norwich should have sealed The Second Division title with a point at Watford, who were of course heading in the opposite direction. But then ten years hence in season 1981-82, both Norwich and Watford would gain promotion to The First Division, Norwich making an immediate return after suffering relegation at the end of the previous season, while for Watford, they emulated Norwich's feat of 1972, by gaining promotion to the top flight for the first-time ever. Funny how these things pan out!

When Efan played for AFCBournemouth , at full pelt you couldn’t always tell if his Kegs were gonna go the same way as the rest of his body ! He’s one of those guys whom gave us hope during some miserable moments cos he could run rings around some of the defences & I’m not sure if even he knew what he was gonna do next 😁

Do you know I can remember that Paddon goal against Blackpool at 01:50. This was my first ever football match at 11 yrs old standing in front of a barrier on a collapsible fishing stool at the then open terrace River End......never forgot that 5-1 score.

Home attendances seem to be around the 15 500 mark. Rather poor for a top division club ! I remember the old Barclay End quite fondly, the toilets with no roof and the burger stall with the burgers in hot water. OTBC.

This is such a brilliant video - thank you! It reminds me of my earliest NCFC memory - at the Norwich cathedral carol service - Christmas 1971, sandwiched between my dad and my PE teacher. I remember being surprised at hearing them both singing ‘David Cross, David Cross’, instead of ‘Noel Noel’!
