there is no way words can describe the energy bill would introduce into the room the moment he touched that first note, that first tone.... even at the very end when he had to be helped to the stool for lack of body strength but overflowing with spiritual strength.... beyond wow, beyond cool, beyond technique, beyond even bill.... there will only be one miles, one bird, one coltrane, one mozart, one lang lang, one beethoven, and one bill evans

I think Bill's posture, stooped over and all, is his way of bringing his ears closer to the keys. Like phototropism, when plants move towards the light. Stunningly beautiful music. The drums being caressed with the brushes is soooo sybillant and perfect for the slow-tempo of the opening piece. I could listen to nothing but this, like if i were stuck alone in a jail cell or desert island, and stay alive.

Listening to all this it's clear how seriously all the musicians as a team take the music they are playing. It's beyond jazz and ventures into the respect of Classical Music playing - wonderful to hear and so sad we'll never hear Bill Evans' like again, He gave so much and then he was gone.

what i love about Chuck Israels is his beautiful sound. He used natural cat gut strings on his bass not mettalic to get that warm round sound.🙏

Listening June '24. Scott lafaro and Bill have been an unmatched duo ever since. They're playing styles were so suited for each other. I am, with out comparison, transported to a different time and place when listening to them

Jazz is not music, it is a sound philosophy. And maestro Bill Evans is one of the most significant philosophers of this beautiful and delightful sound magic called JAZZ.

"Sound philosophy" is certainly an interesting phrase. Your comment is intriguing.
Then..she smiled sarcastic..She was a Lady..I considered as a Lady..and I said..'I..didnt mean..to hurt you..I'm just..'...'..I know..that height you walk on..took me for my hand with you..its..much..more acceptable..I'm secure..safe..and feel like what I am..You respect me even when it seems you dont..Its..touchy..I hardly moved my eyes from watching the table in front me towards..somewhere towards her shoulder ..neck..her hair and far behind..just noticed her eyes.glow..'I am glad ..It was I felt for the first time something..ours..how I loved her...

Someday My Prince Will Come - This is a mix of two "feels" or time signatures. The waltz feel of 3/4 and the common straight feel of 4/4. For example, Bill plays the intro and head (A and A1 section) in 3/4 and then does three choruses, first in 4/4, secondly in 3/4 and third back in 4/4 before Eddie's bass solo starting in 3/4. The rest of the solo and song keeps alternating until it finishes once again, as it began, in 3/4. Masterful time keeping by this trio.
