I see why they deleted this scene. All of this backstory about Hutch is delivered in the movie in other scenes, such as the dude in the tattoo shop freaking out over his tattoo. This scene is a lot of “tell, don’t show” - but the actual movie did “show, don’t tell”

I like what they ended up going with in the movie instead. Using basically the same dude doing the search but instead having it be Blackmail against him and the hacker that was in charge of getting it throwing it at Yulian saying she doesn't need to get paid and wishes him luck.

This guy is a terrible secret agent. Every action he takes reveals more information and creates unnecessary risk. If not for the goon squad, he'd probably be shot 15 seconds after attacking two rednecks in a dark alley.

This movie couldnt have had a better cast and is perfect in its realism. Seeing the main is really human and not some super mutant makes it that much more lovable.

I actually think how they handled it in the final edit was better, with the hacker getting copies of hutch's blacked out records and just telling the mob boss "Nope, fuck this, I'm out."
