LoL, I don't think I am fast enough to sponsor. I'm just the guy that likes to go out and get it done. They do have some good shoes but they just need to be a little tougher. I know there are a lot of people who use Altras for through hiking on the PCT. I would be interested to know how many miles those people are getting out of their shoes.

Speed kills. And the jumping spider just happens to have one of the quickest guns in the west. It's speedy attack is like nothing that I've ever seen before. The six eyed spider probably comes the next closest in speed. But it's still not even close.

Jumping spiders are the only spiders to kill wasps and mantis bigger than themselves and scorpions of their own size without web. Also, one thing I have observed is that the spider wasps never try to roam and dance around jumping spiders like they do with tarantulas, Huntsman and wolf spiders. They always attack from back by surprise, even while attacking small jumpers. Once the jumping spider detects the spider wasp, it's impossible to attack it.
@davidhalbleib5040

They are impressive spiders for sure and seem to be wired a little differently as far as their intelligence. I didn't know that they actively hunt wasps. That is cool.
@thehellyousay
@thehellyousay 10 ай бұрын
@@davidhalbleib5040 they actively hunt other spiders, including each other, using not only terrifying speed and strength, but frightening intelligence as well, to do so. The portia jumping spider takes out much larger orb weavers on their own webs. Jumping spiders are a different breed altogether. PS: there are some species that mimics various ant movements and pheromones, and lives among various kinds of ant colonies, stealing larvae, living dangerously ...

I totally agree! And they have pretty much 360 degree vision with their two main large eyes, and then two smaller front eyes, and two more (each one on either side) and then two more on the back of their head. "Yes, little one, mama does have eyes on the back of her head. lol. No sneaking up on this jumper! I have watched one Daring/Bold jumper (Phidippus audax) grab a praying mantis and the mantis flew away with the audax not willing to let go of it's lunch! I'm sure when the venom took effect the mantis crashed to the ground and the jumper dined!

@ If they can pierce beetle armour at that size, then their fangs would sure pierce elephant. Besides, Elephant hide is thinner than Hippo and jumpers the size of car would have largest fangs of anything on Earth. Elephant skin also gets pierced by humans who harass the tamed ones.

I'm returning this pack How can you go ultra running with this pack that lacks any pockets on the front except for the two water bottles and a small zippered pocket for an ID..... nowhere to stash your energy food and access it while running... It's a terrible pack. Definitely not for running...
@davidhalbleib5040
@davidhalbleib5040 2 жыл бұрын
It comes with a 2 liter bladder so you don't need water bottles in the front. Those small pockets are where I stash energy snacks keys and my phone. It works well for me. I would really only change where the bladder hose comes out behind the neck and would have it over the shoulder instead. There's a lot of packs/vests out there. Everyone likes something different. Good luck & happy running.

They are like a big cat with venom. They wait for the right time to ambush a predator & with quick speed they pounce. By the time the prey reacts & try to figure out where or what hit him, the jumping spider fangs are already inside them pumping venom.
