What a beautiful, anointed, God-breathed service from the beginning to the end! I remember as a kid Pat Boone songs, then when the family had a TV show. How the Lord kept His hand upon them all through His faithfulness as their lives as they were faithful to Him with their witness.

When I was a child, somebody said I look like Pat Boone. I didn't know who he was. When I learned more about him I gloat. It sure kept my esteem high. If I cannot aspire to be like him, at least I reflect a little of him!

I'm not a religious man. I never have been. But in all the years I've enjoyed the talent of Pat Boone I have admired the purity of his belief. Even when he sang corny songs like "April Love," I knew that his golden voice was inspired by higher things. Even at the height of his popularity, he would always put God first, even when it wasn't the "hip" thing to do. That takes a kind of faith and strength that I have never had. I also believe in an afterlife, and that his wife actually saw physical angels that day on her death bed, or what I actually call, her "life bed." Life, and love, is eternal. This I believe.
