Beautiful arrangement... once again the maximum made of every note available! Thank you for sharing this. (I certainly envy your collection of instruments!)

What are all the songs in order? I know some and then others I know the tune but not the name. Thank you for posting.

I never realised till the click at the end (when the barrel is reset to starting position) that it's being edged slightly to the right through each revolution with three complete revolutions to the song; (had to replay it to count). The pinning is even more complicated than at first glance and must have to be extremely precise! Thanks for sharing!

Hello, Thank you so much for the kind words!. I am cutting the card for the Autophone music. It has been a lot of fun learning that art. However, I did not arrangement the music for the Roller Organs. That music was arranged by Charles Moore, who sadly died in 2020.

Remarkable sound! (And a flashback to programming on punch cards!) Beautiful arrangement! Cheers!

@markpichla5333 I didn't think to ask, but how does one cut an Autophone Strip?

Charlie Moore managed to get the max. out of those twenty-two notes! Thanks for sharing this!

The Chatauqua Roller Organ, Gem Roller Organ, Concert Roller Organ all play a 20 Note 6 inch roller. While the 20 note are still pinned in a spiral pattern, they only make 3 revolutions, the Grand Roller Organ makes 8

A beautiful waltz, beautifully played. How many times does the cylinder rotate on its axis before it plays the whole song?

My Dads mother had one and my dad's sister's son burnt the house down. So the organ is no more but It was never how the bellows operated when you turned the crank. I learned Devil Dream and several other old tunes from this kind of player organ. It was really fascinating how they figured out where to put the pegs and to advance the roller away from the crank to play the entire song.

Thank you so much for the kind comments. Beat Streuli, restored the organ and pinned the barrel in 1987. He did a really nice job with the restoration and music. I am also fortunate to have an original barrel with as well, unfortunately the music is unknown.
