Form wise you need to be perpendicular to the taget at start. You were at about 70 degrees. Should be approximate 90 degrees. This is a great introductory tool. This punch I mean. One of the first things you will likely learn in Karate.

When we look for Kata WANKAN, only in Shorn Ryu this called wankan. All other styles has a different one as WANkAN. entirely confusing. So, this Wankan only for Shorin Ryu.

I would like to know what’s pitiful about it? I perform the kata at a slow pace instead of a fast paced I also have wow many first place with this kata so your negative opinion is for your benefit only

Antes de hacer comentarios tan incondicionales, le sugiero que se informe. En Shito Ryu puede ser conocido como Matsukaze. Pero en okinawense Shorin Ryu se conoce como Nagamine no Wankan. O simplemente Wankan. Si le preguntas a un practicante de kárate de Okinawa por Wankan, lo más probable es que veas esto.

Before making such unqualified comments, I suggest, you educate yourself. In Shito Ryu it may be known as Matsukaze. But in okinawan Shorin Ryu it is known as Nagamine no Wankan. Or just Wankan. If you ask a practitioner of okinawan Karate for Wankan, you will most probabbly get to see this.

The kata I performed Kusanku is the highest and most difficult kata in the Shorin Ryu Matsubayashi Ryu system. This kata was brought to Okinawa in 1762 by a chinese karate man name Kusanku. The advance techniques of offense and defense are shown requiring years of practice to master it. Thank you for viewing.
