This take is going to get me massive hate in the comments but so be it. The Canucks aren't going to lose to the poor man's Colorado Avalanche. The Oilers want to be everything Colorado is. Colorado has great offense so do the Oilers. The Colorado one has proven to be unstoppable. They have the cup rings to prove it. Drasaitl, McDavid and the Oilers are hyped as unstoppable yet are shut down in the playoffs year after year by great disciplined team defense. Colorado has a great defensive core which has shown they can go head to head with any team in the league. Edmonton has some good pieces but on the whole is rather underwhelming. Colorado has earned respect by winning. Edmonton is handed respect by the media and overhyped constantly despite failing to address the same issues that have sunk them year after year. Both teams have great players and captains who are Hart Trophy finalists. The difference is MacKinnon always finds a way to get the best out of his team and win more often than not. Oilers and McDavid have won nothing under his leadership and yet every year the media treats the Oilers like they are a dynasty. The Canucks have more grit and the structure to slow down the poor man's Colorado. Canucks in 6. Tell Emperor McDavid to put his clothes back on. The Oilers aren't fooling anyone.

Mngmt squandered the talent burnt the farm prioritized small players and lost great talent - without getting anything in return. You can’t beat a big team with small team. I’m going to put my stick in your back until you make me stop and the leafs have no one to do that. There is nothing wrong with the core but there is a huge problem with the fans and mngmt, and that is loyalty. Without loyalty, you never win. Scapegoating marner is idiocy. He is a great player. Did no one hear he had a high ankle sprain? Playoff stats: Marner 57 games 50 points +10 two way player Nylander 54 games 43 points +1 inconsistent one way player Matthews 55 games 48 points +2 two way player They that want to get rid of your best playoff two way player really just do not want Toronto to win. Other interesting dubas mistakes: keeping nylander over Hyman Hyman 65 games 48 points +5 two player with grit-playoff character Kadri 52 games 44 points +15 two player with grit-playoff character With the leafs 19 games 10 points +6 Mike Babcock future HoF coach with gold medals, stanleycups If Toronto had gone with Babcock and hunter this team would have had playoff ready size and toughness in the supporting cast built thru the farm and they would have had a dynasty

Thanks for the comment. Considering he was thrust into a Game 7 on the road against a better team at the last minute and he's a backup goalie, he was solid. Brutal on the final play of the game, but he was there when he was needed. He was also clearly not the reason they lost that game, not even close. Appreciate your support! Should be an interesting summer.

What GM in their right mind would trade with the leafs. Their players are over paid, over rated and under perform in the playoffs. Scotty Bowman said the regular season is preseason to the playoffs. The Leaf organization sill doesn't get it.

Why do people keep bringing up marners and taveras ntc. You think just because he has that leafs cant move him 100% wrong .marner might think he has power but leafs management does and here is,how they can make him waive that ntc.First you sit with marner and his reps and you say that your not in our plans moving foward it be in your best interest to move on and resume your career someplace else give us a,10 team trade list so we can help you transition to a fresh start.Now if marner refuses which he is totally allowed to under the cba then you tell.him and his agent it would be wise to reconsider because if not then your on 3rd line and your pp time is reduced and you play penalty killing roll.Now people think about this do you really think marner would stay if he knew that plus 1 year away fron ufa he would want to put up a big season to cash in on a big big deal.He wouldnt be getting a big big contract if leafs did that 😂😂😂😂.He is not stupid he would realize oh yeah they got me and waive the mtc

as an avs fan. Colorado defense has been getting exposed, structure needs to be tighter. maybe the habit to pinch offensively is being exploited by their opponents. Georgiev is good, but he is maybe a top 15 goalie at his ceiling, IMO. Not a stud like Helle. In a way it is good that we go into the playoffs with some work to do, but i worry about the confidence.. geo's body language is not encouraging. Annunen time?
@MrBigFlizz26 күн бұрын
YEEESH! Annunen time sounds really concerning. If that's what it's time for then this season might be cooked. You think he's got what it takes to carry this team to the promise land? That's a really big ask for a goalie with such little experience and NHL track record.

Last year's collapse has me waiting to see how they perform over the first few games. They need to respond and cannot rely too heavily on their goaltending. Balanced scoring at this time of the year could not be more key and if that falls flat, any team is trouble. Do they have enough of it? That's my question. Playoffs are a different beast. Thanks as always, Richard for the comments!

Regarding goaltending, I think that the worst era for goals is between 1995 to 2014-15 approximately. The scores were often under 6 goals per game. It has changed over the last 10 years and it has made the game way more exciting. Always a treat to listen to you guys

FYI for anyone who isn't in the know as Kraken fans. Shane Wright is already a lock for the Roster next year, Ron francis has pretty much confirmed it. Hence why we go rid of Wennberg. Had to open up a center slot for Shane. Right now theyre likely going to test out his chemistry with a couple different lines. But he's definitely going to center the "2nd" line with a potential to take the 1C spot from Beniers if he can't step uo his offensive game.

I think if CBJ find a right winger to go on the top line with Johnny we aren’t having this conversation. He is a playmaker his game is predicated on setting up his line mates.
