I own a tongue drum and absolutely love playing it....but please do not encourage self-absorbed untrained individuals to go into quiet public parks and hammer away on metal drums....we have enough chaos in the world already. At least leave the mallets at home.

I love my nova 36 and l wondering on the 48 there seems to be so much room under the notes that you could move them down towards the rim and make tongues bigger. It might also sound less hollow because shell is tighter towards the edge. Have you guys experimented this idea? Still a beautiful drum 👍🙏🙌

Hi, great playing and a really nice sound to the drum. I just want to know why the tongues have multiple cuts in the tongue part itself, while on other drums the tongue is just a single piece of metal that is cut out around it. And I have heard some tongue drums that has quite a longer sustain, while on the one you showed here the sustain was pretty short. Why is that. I am just curious as to the why of some things.

That is lovely. Do you happen to have a sound sample of mini c pygmy in 432 and mini a golden gate in 432 so i can possibly hear the difference ?

Yes, course, we tune both 440 and 432 hertz. But unfortunately in the video you won’t feel the difference of 8 hertz... it will sound the same 🤷♂
