I find for the bartender you should have something from dispense from the taps or the keg. He seems to stall if there’s no drink orders once he gets a drink order he starts moving again

Purchased this yesterday - It's fun. Things I've noticed. You do NOT need to assign mechanics to the lines, they'll go wherever they're needed - I have 1 or 2 assigned to each line, the rest I just leave to do whatever they like. Level 10 sales peeps are pretty good, and I think the higher level builders and logistics peeps are better too - it's really easy to spam out training as soon as you research it. Higher wages = better motivation = energy goes down much slower = less breaks = more work... There's probably a balance in there somewhere, but I've no idea where it is. I don't think you'll get more than about 5-6 episodes at most out of this at the moment... But it's a fun little game (I'm 6 hours in and I'm about finished)

Had it been the Great KOS like how Little Tail described it before? On another note, at last, Beaver Bluffs has their exercise plaza, as well as other amenities like the motivatorium and mud baths so they can stop complaining to me. Those beavers should just take a swim and sip some latte to be more relaxed as me. Though, there are moments I am not chill, like when a certain beaver had built the wrong power connector thingy which was SUPPOSED to connect the mud baths... or when the beavers used too much dynamite and made the water spinny wheel bases too low... Construction has also been pretty slow as workers had been lacking, which also had me annoyed. If only we had a special berry that would cut time for our young to bore from the baby maker thingies. On a positive side note, I did notice they made pretty-looking town styles with the rowhouses at the base of the plateau during my walk (I had not known this, unfortunately). If only we could make our rowhouse units into inspirational communities like the one I saw. I should encourage that kind of architecture. That would give Bad Scrapton more prettiness. Expansion is happening rapidly, and it is good we are reaching our paws further and faster. We must work hard, work hard. I think the Wine is made in the masticating Barrels? Distillery is for hard liquor. Did you know you can Right Click the Kindling into the Fireplace? I think if you make Grape Juice you won't be making Wine with those Grapes? IDK, I can not remember. You have some Wilson stuff in the Kitchen Chests too. Big Chests are great, but the Candelabra are floor models.

I love these series, not often you see great KoS baffled by some new factorio mod :) Looking forward to the episode where you start mining and processing cobalt. I like these mods with new mechanics much more than some overhauls that just add 100 new materials, 500 intermediates and 10 assembler tiers. Wish there were more of these

Things are looking good for the colonies as we are slowly growing. I decided to switch jobs to gathering scrap for metal blocks. I will likely be going to the new gathering point soon after the current scraps run out but who knows. My next job might be learning how to smelt those same scraps into metal blocks but i will cross that bridge when i come to that point. The new town will put a strain on resources but thats a hurdle to be crossed when it comes ~ ninth entry from Chekta the Beaver. You did touch on the breeding issue in this episode but didn't read the comment in the video.

I don't know if this is already implemented in the game or not, but in my opinion, when changing cars on the assembly line, it's worth paying attention to their target niche. For example, in this video you've taken all the sports cars off the production line and replaced them with family cars. Theoretically, this means that you stopped covering the sports car market segment, and oversaturated the family car market, which should have a negative impact on sales.

I have not seen any negatives at all... I keep selling cars about as fast as I make them. maybe later in the development process that will work differently. I had noticed that they are different types.

I think you’re going to need more space between platforms for the longer cars, they won’t be able to move to the next station forward enough to start another car.

With all the other settled, the great KoS designated me BIG EGGPLANT, the official title of the town mayor of the new northern settlement. We found perfect fields to sow our eggplants and found huge caves full of scrap. So I think we shall name it Eggplant Caverns. Oh I need to put in some water sucky thingamajigs in for the new northern village.

Pay increases Motivation which affects how much energy they spend doing things, higher motivation means less energy used which means fewer breaks.

I think they might expect you to build one long line. At least the painting, quality control and door could be the same one for all lines. Could save some space. And I dont think the quality control is a laser. Might just be a big lamp that allows the controller to check welds and stuff. But I can have misunderstood how it works since Im not the one playing.

It would make sense to have longer lines, but I'm not sure there's a huge incentive right now. Any one mechanic can easily assemble a complete car, garage doors are cheap, you can store all parts in one mixed pile, QA/painting stuff seems manageable too...

Regarding the popularity: you can hype it up before release, growing popularity. When you press 'release' you get a +100% bonus to popularity growth that slowly goes down to 1%. You can have a car in the show room without even building the car, just growing its popularity so when you DO decide to release there is already an established demand for the car. Edit: Also brand goes up by +1% for every 100 points of popularity gained. Also also might want to check your storages' contents, they might be full of unused parts from changing productions.

I feel like you need more mechanics if you pay attention they are only working on one car at a time each station can have 3 mechanics but you have 2 total per line.

Thanks for posting your video! Before I release the car to the public, I let it build some hype in popularity (like 30000 or 40000, if i can go higher then great) so people are foaming at the mouth to buy the cars. Heavy marketing. Hard to do with the first model though. Also while I'm waiting to release it, I'm building cars so I have plenty to sell. It was in the help section about it, I saw you could potentially charge more as the car gets popular.

@KatherineOfSky Do note that some cars' lengths are such that you cannot work on them together on the same line unless they have a little space between the stations. For example, the red sports car on the bottom will never have both stations active at once, because the car size infringes on the space.

Right near the start you talk about the main issue with the game, the reason I stopped playing. The gardening gets to become such a constant grind. I was to the point where that's all I did for days was plant and water. Hope they add something to ease that part of the game. On the coasters, cork are the ones that really help, paper only didn't seem to do much when I played, but after switching and stacking them, it was noticeable how less often the tables need cleaning. Great series, thanks!

Lots of other people have already said, yes you can place more than one extractor on a lot of the resource nodes. It's how they are placed that leaves enough room for both to have 9/9 coverage. I'll add though imo if you already have extractors and belts down and running, it's probably not worth it to rip stuff out and reposition just to make the 2nd extractor fit especially if you're already far enough in you have multi regolith and upgraded belts and stuff. The nodes only have so much to give anyway so chances are they're over half done anyway. It's more something to remember on next playthrough is all 😊 With the stability and fast n loose updates this games getting hammered with I stopped playing the campaign and just dable in free play. Early access is early access and their QA hasn't exactly been the best so I'm waiting for things to mature and settle down a bit. One move the devs have made I really liked to see though is in steam properties under beta, there's drop down for previous versions and they're keeping them available for now so if an update derps things, you have options that don't involve instant "gg, wp. Delete save and start again...again"

All the shops open at 8am the only day the shops are close is Sunday, you aways see the the two girls walking up the street just before 8am there was couple of times you walk past them as they were going to work

Wilson (Beach Dude) uses the Boots and Underwear (other stuff too like Nets) and gives you Seals that you can use to buy his Decorating items (all Nautical themed of course) giving you Comfort Items for Seals not for Gold. You have stuffed his wants into almost all your chests, one here another there... The Aquariums are floor decorations and collectables.

Gotta phase out older models a lot faster. 2 lines for 1st -> 1 Line for 1st car, 2 lines for 2nd car -> 0 lines for 1st car, 1 line for 2nd car, 2 lines for 3rd car -> etc...

The number of mechanics working on a car depends on the number of parts needed in that production step. Each mechanic can transport and install one part. For each step, the game creates one job for each part and searches a mechanic for each to do it. For things likes wheels this can go up to four in one step. According to the devs it's a bug that salesman can work for multiple zones. Might also be a bug but if you move a saleszone after building it, you can put it right next to another. The game doesn't tell you this but if you build stations right next to each other, longer cars are going to block the station behind them and nothing gets built there.

Re: salesmen, maybe add rest chairs for the salesmen so they don't walk so far away when they're on break? And paint, another YT'r I watched got the paint booths working but didn't see any affect on sales, so maybe paint color demand will be added for the release game.

Paint shop you have to go to the first station to change the color, it’s the triangle tab in the lower right corner of the car you’re producing. Color does not affect price.

Would be cool if it did affect both the production (the whole thing with black Ford T was about reducing drying time) and the cost/price. Blue metallic, for example, used to be super-expensive option when it was first introduced as it was made with the grinded fish flakes.
