😞 Bummer. Fred seemed to say 'clorinet' instead of clarinet, so it wasn't accepted.

Interesting that Julia recommends roasting the beef at such a low temperature, 325 F, which is only around 160 C. I am going to try that. Also that she doesn't season her rib roast before cooking - not even with a little salt, saying she feels it makes the juices run out. I'm not convinced. I tend to subscribe to Nigella Lawson's view that raw meat left unsalted before cooking is invariably revolting!

I could never put it in the oven without seasoning. Lots of salt, pepper, dried thyme and rosemary for a delicious crust;

This $100K win is notable, in that Keefe Ferrandini (the lady who won) was the only one in the Clark era of the $100K Pyramid to do so from the giving chair instead of the receiving chair

She gave the clues every time she went to the winner’s circle. She was a fucking awesome clue giver. She knew where the line was drawn were one adjective was okay, and being to overly descriptive (except on what “blank” might say, they give you a ton of leeway on that one)
