At the time this seemed so naff, where in the previous year or 2 you'd get some interesting stuff breaking through on ToTP's this has the mass market end of Britpop dross, overly slick septic dance tunes and a few has beens beyond their best.

Unfortunately I was a guest at HMP Magilligan at this time but my mates and I would always make a point of gathering in one of our cells on a Friday night to watch TOTP's. Helped make bad times good times for a bit.

Music had changed so much throughout the second half of the 20 century. It’s so different to 60-70s music. Listening to this, to me, I’d understand if people of that time said « music is crap now. » Many probably did. The past is always seen as better and it may be true in some ways. I’m sure many people in the 80s said, « I listen to 50s music, real music. »

This is soo good, VHS quality in the 90s. But the music was amazing, you just don't get this quality of artist these days. Some absolute classics in there from all genres of music.
