Loved your tour! Came across it as I am doing research on Portland and heading there this coming weekend. On that note… That Montecristo waffle sandwich you had at Hawthorne Asylum looked absolutely incredible! Do you remember which cart you got it from? Thanks for the suggestions, I will check out your other videos!
@adventuresena646 сағат бұрын
Glad you enjoyed- that’s super exciting! The food cart scene here is world class, every pod has a standout or two. The Monte was honestly better than I’ve had in sit down brunch spots- that was Smaaken’s cart at the Asylum!

The music in the background is distracting. Try it clean without music. 😊
@adventuresena644 күн бұрын
I totally agree- you’ll notice the little bit of in video audio I included is pretty bad quality, as there was copyrighted music playing everywhere I filmed. I plan to upgrade my audio soon so I won’t need to Dub music over all the dead silent bits!

Thanks for sharing. I will be there in one month and since the Rock Slide -- uncertain of our rail trip. I eat King, Snow and Blue crab daily -- that looks like a kids meal and I'm a small stature person. What was the name of this restaurant? I can go with out red celery. Was this your first cruise?
@adventuresena645 күн бұрын
It was supposedly a lb of crab but they could’ve shorted me! It was Skagway Seafood Co- and yes it was my first cruise, though I lived on an aircraft carrier at sea for quite a while!

@abidalihyder9 күн бұрын
You need to go to Hat Yai! Their house curry, brisket curry, sticky rice, roti (it’s actually paratha but whatevs), and their chicken is the actual literal best food in the state. I stand by that as a thicc foodie.

Do they offer tours?
@adventuresena64Ай бұрын
At Bandelier there weren’t any tours that I could see, though I’d bet there may be special events offered by the rangers there. At Puye cliff dwellings, unless you’re a member of the Pueblo you have to take a guided tour through the area- both are really fun ways to explore these magnificent places!
@countdooku6523Ай бұрын
Did you explore by yourselves?
@adventuresena64Ай бұрын
Yes self exploration is allowed at Bandelier- though at Puye non tribal members have to take a guided tour !

Movie fact. That Carruthers Restaurant use to be "Owl Drug". During the filming of Kindergarten Cop the bad guy goes into a store to buy his son a toy so he would not be showing up empty handed. That store was Owl Drug. Also a fun fact @5:40 is the only Astoria "beach".
@adventuresena643 ай бұрын
That’s funny! I’ll need to rewatch Kindergarten Cop 👮 Now that you mention it that tiny spit under the bridge is the only sandy patch on the whole waterfront!
Really awesome video. You mentioned the Astoria Column is one 1 of 12. Do you happen to know where they other 11 are erected? I can't seem to find that information.
@adventuresena643 ай бұрын
Wow- great question! So I read this info at the Astoria column on a plaque, but it’s possible the other 11 weren’t necessarily columns but different memorials. Here’s what I read “This was the “crowing monument” out of 12 other historical markers spanning from St. Paul, Minnesota to Astoria, Oregon.”
