Fun summary. That being said, kinda amazing that shmucks like Andrus and Harrison got shout-outs and guys like Adrian Beltre, Kenny Rodgers and Rusty Greer didn't... Also, I loved the Ballpark in Arlington. A beautiful stadium with so many memories. I miss everything about it other than the heat. My family used to watch the 1st 2 innings from the concourse while we waited for the shadows to shift over and cover our seats near the left field line and third base.

Until recently, the owners did not pay for a championship pitching staff. Pitching always killed us...

I remember getting my picture taken (when I was young enough to not really remember it) with new pitching phenomenon David Clyde. He went nowhere. My family was from Arlington and one of my great-grandfathers worked for or with Tommy Vandergriff’s father Hooker Vandergriff. Tommy single-handedly got the Senators to move to Arlington. Now thinking back on it I would have much rather had my picture taken with Jim Sundberg, or Buddy Bell or even Toby Harrah.

That Ballpark at Arlington is still one of the most beautiful sporting venues in America. I miss everything but the heat

Should have retrofitted a roof on the ballpark in arlington. The Shed is a joke on the exterior.

It feels funny looking at Washington and the 10-14 teams now, knowing that he will be managing against the Rangers (led by the man who beat him and the Rangers in 2010) as the manager for the Angels in 2024.

My grandfather had waited all of his life to have a pro baseball team in the Dallas area, and took me to a Rangers game in 1974. I was 6. Got a picture of myself sitting on Toby Harrah's knee and got my cap signed by a young Jim Sundberg. My grandfather had TV, but he always listened to the games on the radio instead. I wish he were here to see the Rangers finally win the World Series. 😊

Fun fact, the Rangers just put on the least viewed World Series in recent history after spending what I called the Astros tax spending $1 billion just to get past the Astros. Who have dominated MLB the past eight years with a straight ALCS appearances, as well as winning the division year after year.

It gets hot here Texas during the summer. So I never understood why anyone thought it was a good idea to have an open air ballpark that I was going to be used during the summers. I used to hit up those games in the 90s and it was hotter than a mother out there. Especially being along the 3rd base - left field side. The Ballpark in Arlington is a beautiful stadium but it was the perfect stadium NOT for Texas.

I was born just prior to the start of the Texas Rangers 7th season in Arlington, in March of 1979. And I can vividly remember attending games in the old Arlington Stadium, the first of which would have been the summer of 1988, when I was just 9 years old. I was deployed to the Middle East in 2010 and 2011. Therefore, I missed seeing both of the previous World Series. I am very grateful that I was able to attend a game in September this year, against the Mariners. We Won…2-0! But more importantly for all of us Diehard Rangers fans, I’m thankful that I was able to watch every single inning of this successful World Series run! Thanks for posting…brought back good memories! The Texas Rangers our Your 2023 World Series Champions….and they didn’t Cheat to get it….How Flipping Sweet It Is!!

Not a Rangers fan, but seeing the historical tidbits shown during the WS, I was right that they WERE the baseball version of the Saints. I was happy they finally got over the hump. My half siblings are in the Dallas area and are Ranger fans. My middle brother and his family went to the parade. EDIT: My oldest brother was born nearly a month and a half before the Rangers got the green light to move.
