The Sherp Amphibious Vehicle: In 2003, I had provided a concept for an off-road vehicle with no springs, shock absorbers or any form of suspension, so that it could vary the pressure in its huge tires and leverage those for suspension to minimize things that could break or needed repairs or replacement. I also suggested that just like a tank, it use braking for turning to avoid a complex steering system and tire-rod ends that could break or would need repairs. I proposed an aluminum body that could float on water, a low and a mid-placed center-of-gravity with a mid-placed engine, and a shape and weight distribution that would cause it to right itself if it rolled over on land or on water. The massive tires could also provide very good propulsion with very little that could go wrong, instead of having a water-jet or a propeller that would need repairs. I proposed wheels at the front and rear extremes that would protrude outside the frame for the best departure and arrival angles, and a short wheel-base or a 3rd-axle for a good break-over angle. The massive tires would not only serve as suspensions, on land, and propellers, on the water, but also provide the vehicle with exceptional ground clearance and vertical obstacle clearance. I proposed a high-torque, low-RPM tractor or construction machinery engine to further reduce the engine maintenance requirements. All of this is good for off-road performance, but unless the vehicle can also steer well on road and attain speeds of up to 120 KMPH and perform satisfactorily to not pose a hazard to other vehicles, it would have a very limited market. I don't care if you'd need to add a steering system that would decouple for off-road use; tire-rod ends that would lock in place for off-road use; a differential that can be decoupled for off-road use or locked; and an additional gearbox; or an additional gearbox and engine/electric motor on the central drive train, or a separate axle to augment the primary drive for on-road driving; but without satisfactory highway performance, it wouldn't really sell. For the future, a vehicle that could use solar panels and a wind turbine to charge batteries or to extract hydrogen from water/snow (to store it as hydrogen or ammonia) would greatly add to autonomy for usage in polar regions, where fuel might not be readily available and too costly to transport. The Unimog is an excellent off-road vehicle, but it can also travel on road. People buy it because they don't have to transport it in a trailer on the highway.

it's been almost a year and they finally grace us with another video. sales must be tanking if they finally care about the youtube viewers again. I like the idea of the sherp but the folks making it make so many bad choices it must be riddled with problems that anyone that buys one regrets.

@@sherpusa you mean their country. besides this is just lazy. making and posting on youtube is a given for every business now a days, you guys have and exciting product and never use the medium to get the word out. it's ok, there are better and more cost effective alternatives now any how.

🤣😂🤮 Another major Ukraine lie BS and overpriced 150k hahaha they made it for 15k lol... in Russia you can have one for as low as 20k USD up to 70k depending on what you want in it... Company based in Kyiv, Ukraine, is the developer and manufacturer of the SHERP all-terrain vehicle, that has no analogues in the world in terms of its capabilities and characteristics. It took us 20 years to develop a reliable amphibian all-terrain vehicle that can move on any surface and overcome the most difficult natural obstacles. hahaha BS fake info ))))) Now let's open Wiki )))) History of creation The Sherp all-terrain vehicle is based on a design developed by the late 2000s inventor Alexei Garagashyan from Saint Petersburg. Here his YT Channel www.youtube.com/@garagashyan/about channel opened in 2008 and ATV Sherp was made in 2001 by this Russian inventor... even before factory in Ukraine opened in 2012
