@@Jenswsmjens They are both very different. I wouldn’t say I prefer either one they both have their own thing going on. The Engl def has way more gain.

In this rack I’m plugging the guitar into the Engl e580 Preamp and then I’m running that into the Rocktron Intellifex unit for the effects and noise gate. Then the output of the Rocktron goes into the vht 2/50/2 power amp and that goes into the cabinet.

great amp..that amp need a power attenuator or it's simple and little bit sadly taking at 1 or 1 and half 2 of volume of both overdrives channels like blue and especially red ?its not dangerous for hearing ? dont split stronger vibrations ? thanks

@@dudeguyman27 Any recto is good and can be dialed in to sound great. I have the 3 channel and my 2 channels. They are different and all awesome. The 2 channel’s are overpriced right now but you can find some around the 1400 range here and there.

The settings for the blue channel is Gain: max, Mid: 11 o’clock, High: 1 o’clock, Presence: 12 o’clock. I am just running the amp distortion with no boost pedal. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for your return ! I usually dial 4 on gain with red channel...I never thaught that it would be usable to dial the blue channel with max gain ! I will try this setting on my next rehearshall ! 👍

Hello nick. I'm curious to know what settings do you use on the gp3 ? You have a nice fat sound on the third Channel and that's cool. Maybe the two fifty two help to sound better. I have an old engl 920/50 for the power amp 😅

If I can remember the settings I think they were all mostly around 1 o’clock except the gain which was at 3 o’clock. I also had the boost on and that was all the way up. The vht power amps definitely make the sound especially with the mid shift engaged.
