HUGE missed point and cost. So, we eliminated jobs. Yea! however with CAT the emissions and other operating parameters are proprietary. So your local techs cannot do anything when it suddenly shuts down. CAT will not provide you the computer interface hardware or the software. Their get around is " were responsible for the emissions system". Your screwed calling them up and waiting. We have one, worst deal ever made. However the old unit, 1960's version, we can get going and runs and runs and runs. While the Cat is down for a sensor.

Trying to reset my service reminder on my 259d. When I push the rest button it will not open the screen to confirm. I tried it on the fuel filter and oil life same results. Called my local service department and they didn’t know. Any ideas?

I have set many 35 and 3600 engines here in Oklahoma from Foley and there is such a difference between Foley rebuilds and the others. The quality of these engines are second to none and you can literally see the difference in fit and finish and with startups in the field when commissioned.

How do you reset on a 277c model from 2011? It does not have the same display.

Purchased a hea cab and rear guard from afe for $3,900, it came missing hardware and with the paint still tacky it made a mess them strapping it down and us installing it. The craftsmanship where it was cut on the plasma table was poor at best as they started and ended cuts in the guard and not the scrap that was being cut out as the rear wasn't even cut straight but still managed to be welded together and ship to me somehow. My salesman insured me that I wouldn't lose any sight in my sky window and I would have the slimmest model possible since I wasn't needing the cooler guard, however all models are the same and set up the extra hight and only about half the window visibility. Everyone except the president at afe has been nothing short of awesome to deal with but when the president called me back he stopped me mid sentence and only suggested that I'm the only one that's ever had trouble or craftsmanship issues and that I could pay the freight to send it back and literally could not get in another sentence and had to hang up. My recommendation is spend your hard earned money elsewhere!

I literally just watched a skid steer break a branch off a tree with the push bar and a disc mulcher. I did not see one piece of mulch come from the mulcher! This should be renamed to "How not to use a disc mulcher".
