I think Pastor Otabil in trying to emphasize the place of work in wealth creation completely twisted the scriptures he quoted. Apostle Paul saying he labored more than others with the grace bestowed upon him, was not for material wealth. He labored evangelistically by the gospel to push the gospel of Christ to the unsaved at the risk of his own life. Paul never labored so intensely for worldly things. He spent much of his life in prison, yet still preaching Christ amongst his fellow prisoners. He wrote some of the epistles we read today from prison. I disagree with Pastor Otabil. The quest and hardwork of any Christian should not be for material things but for eternal things. Hear Jesus, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matt. 6: 19-21). The mountain of the Lord’s house is not about us having worldly wealth but in us, the body of Christ endowed with the spiritual riches of Jesus’s grace and righteousness. These kinds of messages by Dr. Otabil simply drives Christians to more worldly pursuit, greed and materialism. We should challenge Christians to more “WORK” to win souls and impact them effectively as disciples of Jesus.

My oh my! what an in-depth revelation of the word of God from God's servant. To commit and trust in God through His inner witness is key.

Then what is 'grace' if it is based on works? Is it biblically correct to say grace becomes effectual because of works? I thought that the Word of God declares that we don't 'earn', but we 'receive' grace! I thought it was Christ who demonstrated to us what grace means. You are talking about grace and not 'faith', or are you not?

This Poster is prayerful man of God he even prayes in the spirit therefore his teachings are from the spirit !

Although this teaching appears to be well dissected, it contains a series of personal speculations and assumptions. For example,there is no hint about the reason for God’s acceptance /rejection of the brothers’ offering. The explanation appears to me to be more eisegetical than anything else. In addition, the difference between a “principle” and a “law “ needed to be clarified in this important teaching. For example, if burnt offerings and “war booty tithe” were just principles, why did the first ones appear in the law but the 2nd 1 did not? No war booty tithe in the ordinances! Also why didn’t Abraham keep the 90% of spoils for himself but rather gave it all away to the king of Sodom? Should we give everything away based on this “principle”? Explanation please. Why didn’t Abraham tithe his own herd and flock? If Hebrews seems to indicate that every law is based on some type of priesthood ( Heb. 7:11), on which priesthood was the principle or the law that prompted the Abrahamic war booty tithe based ? I do have many more questions about “Christian monetary tithing”, but l will reserve them for the 2nd portion of this wonderful teaching. The answers may help me finish my thesis on the subject. True man of God. My faith was so pressured that I started to build my house at 65 years with no money, no job, no business, no husband. For 4 years, The LORD just raised people to give towards my building, it was amazing. Today am a home owner of a beautiful house, because homelessness pressurised me.

First I respect Dr Mensa but i have the following worries 1. Abraham gave from the spoils and money wasn't inside 2. Acts 4 Barbabas a livite gave 3 When Agabus gave the prophecy that hunger will broke out people gave willingly to support the church not from tithe. 3. Can someone show me one scripture where tithing became money and not farm produce. 4 Check STORE HOUSE used in malachi. It is where food stoff are packed. You can see that in the story of Joseph. 5. Jesus was teaching through out he never taught the people on tithing because is not a new testament thing. 6. How come today preachers teach on tithe where the first apostles never did and never collected. 7. I must submit that many churches don't trust God. They lean on Tithe. 8. Who do you believe the apostles who walked with christ or today's preachers?

Tithing is not part of Christ. Someone should tell me whether the apostles paid tithe. If they did,to who?

Dr mensa you are teaching good but you forget there is genesis chapter 12 before genesis 14 before you brand abraham as most blessed which is true,dont forget before God calls abraham in genesis 12 he was very rich he had flocks of cattle, goat ,camels and donkeys which mean the blessing bible is talking is not material blessing ,it must be communicating a spiritual blessing which is salvation for mankind,since when you came to new testament he saw a city which is not build by human hands(spiritual city)1st corithian 3 :11 no other foundation which is laid other than which is build by christ (salvation)

Otabil heart is bitter of the Grace, Spiritual understanding of the Scriptures that God has bestowed upon Stephen Adom Kyei Duah the VOG and the 8th generational Prophet. Otabil MUST listen to the WORDS of WISDOM than relying on his spiritual deficient knowledge .

You collected Tithe and impoverished your poor church to establish chain of businesses and a University that's the most expensive private University in Ghana. Why not give back to the children you've milked all over these years. God has chosen from the poorest community to rescue his people from sherlock pastors like you. Pls concentrate on tithe and leave the many types of offerings in the New Testament. Stop cleverly dwelling on the Old Testament Dr. of classroom theology.

The problem is only in Africa. Christianity has it self become a multimillion dollar industry. People are giving huge sums of money in seed, sacrifice, thanks giving etc. You cant bribe God. Some of the money is abused. The richest industry in my country Zimbabwe is religion and politics. No taxes are paid in these two industries that is why everyone wants to form their church or join politics.Meanwhile the followers are living in poverty, but surprisingly they defend their papas and political leaders with their lives.

As principled as Otabil is or claims to be, he was never going to give ten percent of his money to anybody in the name of tithe.

Blessings is not money, money is the buy product, Christianity cannot be compared with the world, Christians are lacking because of wrong doctrine by pastors, and laziness of not seeking the truth for them selves, Christians must deal with bloodline infirmities, and allow the holy spirit to guide them, Christians make pastor's their holy spirit and pastor's milk them after that tell them and remind them why they are poor , keep on telling people why you are poor, teach the word it will do the work, the problem word without power cannot change anything that is why
