KINNPORSCHE IS JUST, THE BEST

The K-pop generations aren’t attached to certain dates. They’re given estimated dates once they have happened and they can look back at them and say “oh well this looks like it’s about that time when it happened.” To me the fifth GEN started appearing as early as 2020, but didn’t fully take hold with its concepts until 2022. I can’t give you an exact date or month or anything. It’s more certain trends again to appear more frequently and certain groups debuted, and became popular that had a certain aesthetic. Covid definitely impacted the timeline because many groups that debuted didn’t get to do tours in 2020 and had to do all online stuff so they didn’t get to meet the fans and so the first part of their career was based on what they could do easily and make Impressive through a screen. It wasn’t until 2022 that they were able to get out there and show what they had. So I feel like the timeline really overlaps between when the fourth GEN ended and the fifth started that there’s a big period that’s like a 4.5 generation that is really just like Covid generation. I noticed that certain groups started using a lot of new technology in their videos for making their videos, as well as using actual technology inside their videos. There were a lot of futuristic elements added, 1990s aesthetics, and a lot of changes occurred from past gens like girl crush concepts started disappearing, live vocals aren’t as popular and songs started getting shorter. The fifth GEN seems more western influenced probably because they’ve emerged into a market that has broken into the western markets and so to keep up they think they have to have a certain sound, rather than stay genuine to what K-pop is. Groups that debuted that I would definitely put in the fifth GEN would be P1Harmony, Aespa, NewJeans, Mave and Plave, Xdinary heroes, Xikers, etc.

This is my Dad’s favorite BL series. He wasn’t a big fan of the more adult scenes though. Was it a mistake to watch this instead of Bad Buddy with my parents? Probably. I think this show has really good cinematography, acting, chemistry, and characters. The action scenes are alright too. The writing isn’t the best at times and there’s tonal whiplash a lot. It’s still a lot of fun and different. I would give it a 4 or 4.5/5

its not just a "band", different country, different custom. In thailand, their co-curriculum (activities outside class) are much important for them to sometimes proceed it as a career. This activities, if they won, they can set apart and name themselves before they finished their school. plus, band are quite a big thing in Thaliand, hence making the competition more intense. if they won, this can help them 'jumpstart' their career for themselves. Its something like a scholarship type of thing.

I won't spoil anything,, it's much more fun if you go in completely blind (which I guess is impossible, since you've already read comment given you a heads up). But I will say, I think this show somehow masters a plethera of genres. It's dark and toxic, it's a mystery, it's romantic and sexy, but also very disturbing and it's funny. But somehow it works!

okay so....let me put it this way...This series is definitely NOT for the weak ones...... I think 2 of the main reasons SOME people don't like to recommend this one to others are: -the plot of the main couple (the plot in general) - the storyline is ....questionable at best at some points in the series😅😅 like...the cousins' thing and the fathers and the mother and the lies....you get it, there are some plot holes if you ask me....and at some point I felt like the story was going nowhere for a few episodes.....they were purely just love story 90% and 10% plot and I GET IT they were in love (and I love that for them, some of the cutest and craziest scenes out there in the BL world 🚁) but at the same time I felt like they wasted 2 to 3 episodes with "nothing" and then hurried to close all the plot lines in the last episode....the ending with the fathers and mother is STILL bothering me till this day!!! - VegasPete - I also think that people are afraid you won't like the dark undertone of the series ESPECIALLY with the second couple VegasPete (they are barely 30% present as a couple but still)....The majority of people are hating on their relationship like...HARD... and I get it BUT at the same time, their relationship is so unique and interesting from a psychological point of view. To be honest I find their characters to be the most entertaining and interesting ones (excluding Tankhun of course), the way they discovered themselves, and how they understood each other on a level that NO ONE NEVER DID...They had that special connection that no matter how much you DON'T like them you can't freaking deny it...with them was all in the details...especially with Vegas character. I also feel there is some kind of realness and raw touch on subjects like manipulation, trauma from childhood combined with the urge to "be good enough" for someone, self-hatred, self-love and LOVE itself BUT presented in a different way and from a different point of view than the "good and moral one"........IDK man *I just LOVE VegasPete as characters ( till this day I don't think I've met another pair of more COMPLEX characters in the BL world ) and their story deserved Season 2.* ALSO THEY DESERVED THEIR LITTLE FAMILY OF 3 TO BE HAPPY I'M STILL NOT OVER IT! And I'm sure there are some other reasons why people don't usually ask for reactions to it but these 2 I think are the main ones from what I observed then and now, I also think BCS it was SO POPULAR it also attracted haters that made it their purpose to find "bad" things abt it and spread it online. BUT, overall I think KinnPorsche is a great upgrade in the BL industry....the first GOOD ACTION BL drama with great actors, complex characters, a good plot and great cinematography. Ad great balance between comedy and action. So if you like mafia/action movies, and gray types of characters you will LOVE this one 😁😁

idk why but people these days tend to view/consume fiction content with IRL lenses which to some degree is okay. But if u dive into the mafia/gangsta story expecting everything other than pure chaos and violence then it is kinda ur fault lol. You decide what makes u comfy and uncomfy, don't shit or ruin other people's experiences just because u expect them to kiss, get married, and live happily ever after, knowing damn well the theme and tone of the drama

Kinnporsche literally set a new standard for BLs with the high production overall. The cinematography/production/acting is top tier. The story is up to ppl if it’s their type of genre but the quality is great. It’s a mafia drama so of course there’s some red flags but that never stopped ppl from watching those serial killer shows like YOU or Dexter or even Euphoria. Your gonna enjoy it there is a comedic edge to it so it really isn’t that dark or action packed it’s a good mix.

I love KinnPorsche. It was my first BL and it's still among my faves. The acting is great, the cinematography is amazing, the emotions are amazing. It's not perfect but I think because KinnPorsche was so HUGE and popular it also attracted a lot of haters. Seems like you saw more of those than the tons of lovers.
