My grandmother had a couple of these that sadly, I was not privy to in her estate distribution when she passed. I did, however, get two really great looking green depression glass kerosene lamps.

I repair so many of these and just the lack of love that people put into there work is sad. But to some people it’s just a job. To me it’s about the respect of the art.

Accept that these are not Tiffany lamps... They are a knock off.

There’s nothing more beautiful than a Tiffany styled lamp! Most of us couldn’t afford the real thing.

So you really think this is the Tiffany production floor in Queens, New York, or a knock off studio somewhere in China?

How wonderful. A video of making the lamps with the sounds of the work, not intrusive background music or yak

Fun knock-offs in the Tiffany style. Although slightly garish compared to the originals. Unfortunately real Tiffany lamps are anywhere from 30,000 USD for a smaller version to 350,000 USD for rarer examples.

Wonderful. I make glass lamps. Suprised they do not use a plotter cutter, water jet or similar to auto cut all the initial little pieces?

These aren't Tiffany lamps, which were made by the Tiffany factory. They're Tiffany-style lamps. And instead of using solder, they're doing the seams with copper, then disguising it with solder.

Real stained glass and made in the exact method of Tiffany. I saw no wet saw being used. If a grinder was used I didn’t see it but the only other option is a hand held stone which NO stained glass artist uses now. Certainly if a worker in this case slips up on the soldering, there may be a weak spot. Other than that, there is no appreciable difference other than L.C. Tiffany isn’t touching these. He didn’t touch all the antique Tiffany lamps that everyone is comparing these to. I’ve been making stained glass items for years and I can say I see nothing in this video that makes these lamps of any less quality than one made by Tiffany himself. Regarding price, doubtful the assemblers of Tiffany’s lamps were any more or better trained than these people and probably may well have been paid on the same scale.
