The era when British Adverts were simply amazing. Think this series, Sony adverts of the time, CinZano, Martini and British Airways - just a few - simply the best.

When I saw this advertisement for the first time, I thought it was some editing some silly people did, but when I saw it was real, I was honestly shocked.

Flipping eck,I just done a quick search ,£1 in 1970 was equivalent to ,£10 now😢😂

I like how they got the narrator from the 70s series for this. I bet a lot of children who saw this back then were confused.

At the end of the commercial they both got arrested.

Why Big Ears Deserves to be Arrested by Mr. Plod At The End Of The Ad. First and foremost, he has gotten badly flanderized in the Vymura ad, going from a friendly, kind and caring brownie who was a good father figure to Noddy to a jerk who insults Noddy all because he didn't like his new curtains. He and Noddy's arguing caused them to get arrested by Mr. Plod, and he also gets away with insulting Noddy by calling the way he dresses silly, making him a karma houdini. In one part of the ad, he was at his absolute worst, because he insults Noddy by calling the way he dresses silly, when in the first book, he literally got him his own clothes, which is something the original Big Ears would never do. He has suffered the worst flanderization in the Noddy franchise, even worse than Noddy and Clockwork Mouse's flanderizations in Noddy, Toyland Detective.

James A. WIlliams' video on Noddy brought me here. The ending had me in a fit of the giggles.

Big Ears is out of character, he literally gets into a fight with noddy, all because of the new wallpaper and he insults Noddy's clothing when he was the one to buy them for noddy and he is a karma Houdini(he did get some minor comeppuence where he is thrown to the wall by noddy), he is even worse than clockwork mouse in the toyland detective reboot

Remember the later one? 'Celtic 2 Heart of Midlothian 2' gives the man his eighth draw and he begins celebrating Dundee 1 Morton 1 Partick Thistle 2 Airdrieonians 2 man starts making despairing noises Brechin City 1 Dumbarton 1 Clyde 2 Stenhousemuir 2 music kicks in and he lights up a Hamlet Arbroath 7 Montrose 0 "Well, lucky old Arbroath!"

Why did Noddy go to jail he was defending himself because big ears Assaulted him 1st and was being childish all because Noddy didn’t agree with his design choices I would’ve done the same thing if someone attacked me 1st then I would fight back but then again it’s just a silly old commercial

Is that Big Ears I know? Because in this ad, it feels like that an unknown jerk is disguising as him. I'd like to call Big Ears in this ad, "Mean Ears."

I just randomly said to my son out of nowhere “That’s handy Harry, stick it in the oven”. After a search to find out where my brain got it from, here I am. I would have been 14 at the time of the ad.

My kids love watching the aircraft take off from Ellough. My youngest son loves planes, he'll often watch plane videos on KZfaq. I'd love to go in an aircraft too, don't think my body would cope with a long journey in one though. My kids love looking out for the skydivers when not at school too

Something about these Hamlet ads is that there are so many of them and they are all funny. It was a very talented bunch of creatives who were behind these.

Mr Plod always picked on Gilbert Golly. Racist oink!! Seriously Noddy was wonderful to me when I was very young. Then as teenagers we looked at it through bery different eyes.
