I know this is anold video, but I was searching in hopes to find a way to keep my white hydrangea white. I’ve had this hydrangea probably five years. It is always been white. It is slowly turning blue.

Mike I no this is a old video but what I found was before the plant gets to big in the autumn I would use a large container cut down one side and a large hole in the bottom put around the plant back fill come spring every single branch will have root system on it

I have a Pakistan mulberry that I bought from a nursery and it is grafted. Is there a difference in vigor between a mulberry that's rooted from a cutting versus one that's grafted to a hardy rootstock?

I always thought roses smelled absolutely awful. I mean seriously, how could anyone like that smell? Then I realised that there are so many varieties. I have a rose bush in the yard that's a dark red/purple colour and the scent is divine. The one I hate is the bright red one 🌹. Smells like shit.

I love the guided garden tour and the commentary (an hour and 15 mins of Mike babbling) by the end of it all you know hes very knowledgeable and passionate about his garden. Absolutely gorgeous plants and loaded with tons of blooms and man the colors are radiant 👌 I love the red and the yellow blooms the best but all of them perfect. One more thing I gonna tell everyone how tall Mike Kincade really is lol. God bless.

With all these varieties in one garden, have you tried starting any seeds that develop? You could get some crazy combos.

Hi Mike. Great video! I found your channel about 4-5 months ago and have been eagergly awaiting your tour for this year, and it did not disappoint! Right off the bat, you solved a mystery of ours regarding Lem's Monarch. We have a giant one of these that came with our house and never knew what it was until now, thank you. It's about 12-14' tall and just stunning in bloom, likely at least 40 years old. I also appreciate your description of the lacewing bugs. You mention they've been here 1-2 years in western WA, but we (also in western WA) have had them in our yard for the past 7-8 years. We actually lost one rhody to them, but like you, have noticed that certain varieties are not affected. Any chance you could help ID a rhody or two if I send you some pictures? Or I could just link to the video(s) on our channel, they are featured recently.

So do petunias put out seeds even if they weren't pollinated? I bought a petunia plant to put outside, but I haven't done so yet. Those flowers are powerhouses it keeps putting out flowers. I noticed seeds also falling out so I decided to collect them and see if they grow. I did see that they should just be sown on top of geowing medium and that they needed light to sprout. It's been a week now and nothing. Wondering also if maybe the seeds from the plant are just sterile?

I tried this about 18 years ago and I was fooled for a while thinking it rooted including my family until it warmed up it got lighter green then turned brown and was dead. 😆🙃 I heard that these Christmas trees aren't even freshly cut, a guy from the home Depot told me about these "fresh cut trees" that they actually cut down the trees and throw them into the bottom of a lake for 2 years which preserves them by sealing them which is why they cut the bottom of the trunk off so the trees can suck up water in the tree stand so they're is definitely no way the trees are alive when you buy them. It's basically like a mummified tree and that also explains why they don't have a good pine scent.

Mike, you have absolutely spectacular gardens with so many beautiful blooms. I don't know how you remember the names of them all. 😊 I have one rhodie (that I took cuttings to propagate from last year and they have survived their first winter! Thanks to you). I have no clue what the name of it is. I wish I could post a picture so you could tell me. Thank you for the tour. Yes, I watched your entire video. Have an amazing day.

It was an extra long video for me because I am trying to shake this bronchitis I've had for over a month I watched your video too late at night and kept falling asleep I tried to watch it 3 times before I gave up and went to sleep But first thing this morning I watched it again and the whole video was spectacular You never disappoint with so many garden beds of beautiful colours I would love to see an arial view of the area in flower You should have a drone then you could sit back and show all the rhodes without having to walk around I couldn't choose just one or two favourites, they're all too pretty What kind of huge trees are in the back of the rhodes with red leaves Maybe red maple or japanese maple? You are so lucky being able to grow so many beautiful plants , everything I would like to but don't have the weather for much of anything The Canadian prairies are pretty hard on plants of beauty so I stick with annuals and can't disappoint myself when it doesn't live Well all I have to say is that you have an impressive yard of rhodes that anyone would be proud of You obviously put a ton of work into those beds and it shows Welcome back ,and this time I hope you're here to stay and I agree you do look younger 😁. 🇨🇦🦩

Simply stunning blooms! My 'Taurus' rhodie sported its very first bloom ever, this year, after nearly six years of waiting! I really like your peach-colored ones! Is your 'Senator Jackson' one named after 'Scoop' Jackson? Very interesting factoid about there being 10 to every 1 deer, here on the East Coast, as opposed to the West. I live in zone 8A, in central NC. Fortunately, deer seem to leave my rhodies alone, but they do go after my deciduous azaleas.
