I like Morgan Freeman's advice on how to stop racism. He said, "Stop talking about it." As an American with Mexican heritage, you don't see us going to Spain and complaining to the Spanish about what they did to our ancestors in 1519-1521. You don't see us demanding reparations or affirmative action. We'd rather WORK HARD for our stuff

Respectfully, I disagree. You don't stop someone from hitting you by not talking about it. You don't stop racism, which is dehumanizing, harmful, and sometimes deadly, by remaining silent. Also, your example about going to Spain doesn't apply because we experience this right here in our own country from fellow citizens, not by a foreign country's citizens. So don't tell us to stop talking about this kind of behavior or taking legal action to stop it. We won't remain silent about being victimized by this harmful, deadly behavior and demanding that it stop. Also, African-Americans built this country with their backs and their blood... worked like animals for free, making others wealthy. So, hard work isn't the issue; free, inhumane work is. Reparations is payment for work done to build this nation and its economy. You, of course, can choose to remain silent about your experiences, and you can choose to work for free.

I understand this well because it was huge struggle for me as I moved from being a physician only because I felt like I didn't know what I was doing which caused me to go into shutdown. My Spirit knows what it's doing. Therefore, I am enough and have enough to take the next step to move forward, make adjustments, then take the next step, and the next...
