Hakken. I also believe or sometimes think about it came forward from something we did in the early 90s with old school. Bpm became faster and started stomping(stampen) on the ground. Somethimes you could feel the dancefloor or club shaking/ bouncing. A natural follow-up was you started throwing your feet more around. Sometimes even a sort of pit(as in punk or hardrock) occurred. Pushing and laughing at each other. Individuals started moving more on there own and some form of hakken arrived.

in thre develpment stage you were a bit off. also note not all the scenes were all that about each other. different styles werent just worked out. gabber is just what the dutch called hardcore because they had to develop another scene. copyright laws and such would not let them prosper in Germany. Hakke is not the dance style of hardcore its just a little dance the dutch do. happy hardcore is a UK thing and actually relates more to their stuff. Happy Gabber is Elstaks get rich quick plan. Nustyle was another money grab. its Festival Hardcore.. You got artcore right though so spot on to you. Terror was invented in New York.Terroir is basically hardcore techno without the Techno. started in 1994. alot of whats played is not terror. but im tired nice video though.

It appears that the Finnish word "kaveri" for friend, companion, etc shares the Hebrew/Yiddish origin with Gabber.

before music was like a movie where sounds made it like a trip and you can feel it in your mind and body, but now days music its so simple with no actual feelings just a clap zhat boom griiizh griizh jezjezjexjezzezezez there is so many good songs in 90's to 2010 what mixing peoples would do miracles.

A little bit mistakes - played speedcore as a gabber, of course speedcore was a gabber's child genre, but different genre. Gabber is slower, up to 250bpms is a speedcore. Next terrorcore up to 500bpms. Some guys says, add to gabber some intrumental or trancy inserts, and you got pure hardstyle :) of course hardstyle is a child genre of gabber :)

First time I heard harstyle was back in early 2007 when I waa 11. At that age in Auatralia, it was taboo. Anyone who took my earpiece tk listen to my mustic on my bus would thing im a weirdo, and that was in Australia. Now its mainstream, ive never been so happy. I attend many Sydney and Melbourne raves at 28. KEEP EM COMING!

Fascinating that gabber derives from a hebrew word, because we have a similar one in Vienna: Hawara/Haberer, meaning "friend", but it can be used as a backhand insult

5:04 Those two doughnuts look like old people trying to avoid slipping on ice. I've been to many a rave in my time, starting early '90s, and I've never seen anyone' dance' that badly. The one on the right doesn't even look like he's in control of his own body, looks like someone very drunk is puppeteering him. It's as if they've seen a 2sec video of Leeroy from The Prodigy in 120p, and copied it from memory. Hilarious to watch.

The nike airmax where used for smugling in XTC. XTC got your body hot and it was common to shave your head for loosing heat faster or so they thought. I was in that era a 16 year old boy i said i wanted it. My mom said if u do that youre not welcome in this house anymore. While i loved the music i never did XTC nor any other drugs than beer.

Holy shit this is accurate. Well done on music selection also. Even though I got older and no longer enjoy the new style of hardcore with it's high pitched bass, I will still wear my name. For sentimental values. You made me sentimental for the tracks I forgot though. I'm not crying, you are! The illegal parties are the only place to have the same "feel" as the oldskool hardcore. I'm just not about that life anymore. I knew this guy who was disabled and roll around in a wheelchair, he was ALWAYS riding the crowd and we would always lose him.
