With mag fed weapons you shouldn't load into the breach through the ejection port cuz the extractor needs to "hold" the rim of the caseing and this can result in the round being seated to far forward in the chamber, is this different on older rifles?

Look somewhere in my Remington target master or field master. Both had peep sites on behind the normal sites. I wish I could find another peep site for my field. I don’t have one on it, but the barrel was drilled for it already on the side.

It's crazy to think the lever action never got any real service life in military use applications. It was used globally somewhat but due to the fear of tube detonations they all stuck with bolt actions and their limitations

Everyone should should the way that's more proficient for the shooter but it is taught to shoot with elbows out because it counteracts the upward recoil your elbows are like a henge. I probably should somewhere in between and what feels natural to me
