Do you have any experience with Addmotor trikes? I am guessing they will have the bearing/axle issues.

Thank you so much! I'm on trike number 3 due to bearing/axle failure. Like you said all of these trikes will have bearing failure. They told me both trikes had bent axles and could not be repaired. I weigh 195 and ride on smooth gravel roads at top speed of 5 mph most of the time. There is going to be a lot of mad seniors before this is over.

Very informative video. Several people have said those bearings are often shipped with nothing but thin oil lubricating them or in some cases completely dry. The rubber seal can be removed with a small pick so you can pack grease into the bearing then put the seal back in place. I don't know if it makes the bearings last longer but it certainly couldn't hurt. I like the idea of replacing it with something that allows the bearing to be easily changed. Lectric says they replace the trike instead of sending a bearing because of it being beyond the ability of many customers to replace plus if the trike has been ridden far enough with a bad bearing the axle or housing can be damaged. I've read that Mooncool sends an axle and both the inner and outer bearings but as you said, if the customer isn't able to handle the repair themselves it will likely be an expensive job at a bike shop if you can even find one that will do it.

What you’ve experienced with your trike, and apparently what many others likewise have experienced has shied me away from purchasing one. Too bad, really, as the company is not far from where I live.

Great informative video. I’m trying to decide on which e-trike to get. The Lectric is at the top of the list, but I’ve heard of individuals having bearing issues. Thank you for addressing that. So, basically you should be OK as long as you don’t ride over very rough terrain, etc. much thanks.

love your video, had an lectric bike which i loved but now have parkinson's disease, which makes riding stressful however my wife got me a Trike and I love it, have had it for a month and put on about 110 miles, its great, just what i needed, thanks for your video.

Right after riding that trike I knew that I would be riding again. I went to Palm Coast and bought one from NATIONAL EBIKE @ 5 Utility drive suite 9 see Frank Pacilli the owner and he will take care of you. the make is MOKWHEEL and so far it is going strong no complains.

Wow, did this retired rn learn a lot. I have a garage wall patch job with inner garage and outside wall needing work. I managed to get the 1960 gas heater removed ok and that's where the hole is. Thanks for all the skilled tips

Love the little window for your dog. My gate sags. A pain to open and close. Had the installer come out to fix 2x. Worked for a bit but 2 years in we're fighting that gate. Good thing we have a door into the garage so the only time we really have to open the gate is to mow. I'm going to look into this when I break down and replace the almost new and under warranty gate.

I use all motor I never peddle. It's only useful if my battery goes dead. That's the hole point of having a electric bike is not having to peddle.

You claim your full power and going 13 miles an hour but you have a PAS five which will bring you up to 23 miles an hour. I have two of these bikes and have put hundreds of miles on them and they have been flawless. I can’t see a bad review for these bikes.

Everyone should know. I bought 2 lectric trikes for me and my wife last July. One of the trikes came with a bent wheel on the back, and the other one had two flat tires. Lectric ebikes sent us a new wheel but I bought new tubes for the tires. Now both bikes have bad rear axle bearings and the bikes are not usable. We have put 117 miles on one trike and 104 miles on the other all neighborhood riding. I sent video of the bearing movement, and noise. they told me I had to pack up the bike in original packing and ship it back 1000 miles just to get it fixed or replaced. I asked for a shop service manual but they refused. These bikes are cheaply made and service is poor. So much for savings.

Good product... Shipping not so good... Giant arrows "THIS SIDE UP", upside down in truck and delivers it to door on it's side where those tail lights are bearing weight... But, you'll get the kinks out bro!!! THANKS!!!

I wish I didn't have to write this review. These bikes are junk in our view. I bought two of them in July of 2023, by October both bikes have a bad axle bearing on the rear. This is with only neighborhood rides and no speed above 2. total miles on one is 117 and on the other 102. this bearing is not repairable and Lectric e-bikes said to send them back for repair. We live over a thousand miles away. They refused any help with shop manuals or tech support, just send them back. We have the bikes in our garage if anyone wishes to verify. Sorry. Don and Jenny

Get the larger chain ring and raise your seat to reaching leg extension. I dad both knees damage in Nam by a rocker. And have been told I need knee replacement dozens of times, I am 71 and have been riding ebikes and trikes for 20 years. And both my knee and sciatica pain have been reduced greatly from the exercise I get plus have lost 60 pounds. Whenever I am restricted from riding for a extended period. Due to health weather or whatever. The pain and weight return. Solder on through the pain. It will get better. Take care.

Good video. Hay, technically if your going to True a wheel, it should be without the tube and tire on the rim itself. That way you know for sure that the spoke isn't sticking out through the rim. FYI. 😊

You are better off taking the tire to a local bike shop and see if any Michelin or schawlbe will fit. The tire is basically the suspension for the trike and now you just make it really stiff with the armor.

Yeah, was gonna say that's a really dumb way to ship a trike. Though in my opinion if people can't figure out how to unfold the steer tube or connect wires they should go lay down in the corner before they hurt themselves.

I saw that video about the breaks his rotor had oil on it it ruined his pads and while he was talking to the camera and forgot to clean the rotor and trashed the second set of pads is why he was squeezing the brake levers so hard
