just found your channel I have been in France since late 2023 after brexit . Have you thought about your visa type yet and the category you are going to apply under, Believe me you will have lots of administrivie problems in France . The second house is the best one at Buais Les Monts . avoid semi detached at all costs in France you will have right of access problems across land. Nice terrace house with a larger back garden is even better, Are you going to take your car over, I am around 30 years younger then you as you look around 67. I am in the south west, its was 38C today. Older people now have to have a medical in France not many people know this, When they apply to live in France from UK, We brought our house with a local French estate agent when we was looking on the ground in the area. Better then just choosing from websites. Love to answer any of your questions,

Applying as inactif and yes France loves its bureaucracy. Agree regarding no to semi detached. Will be buying a car in France once house purchased and visa completed. Fortunately I do have friends already in France who can help me with some things and will be making more trips to view properties once my house sale gets moving.

@@badseedbrighton46 You can bring your car from UK tax free but they dont tell you that. I got mine over tax free so it can be done. for a inactive person the income is now set at 1560 euros per month before they will even process your application .So you have to meet the French minimum wage You have to prove your income at your face to face interview in London when your applying for your visa.

Relocating to France before breixt easy, NOW a diferent kettle of fish. Houses cheaper, yes. But you have to apply to live there, you have to pay for your medicial bills. UK pensions are frozen and stop being index linked once you start to claim , so something to remember in the future. And tax. France can be a high tax country in some respects. I know tihs read as a killjoy, but best to go into something with your eyes open .

@zanyzoo6767 all true and I'm aware of all of it...Will be going as inactif...and aware re tax and insurance.

That was one helluva heavy beer my friend. I hope you get your asking price for your house, and I hope you find what you're looking for in France. I sure wish I could get out of the USA, because things are going to get crazy when this election is over. Anyways have a good one my friend.

Youve figured it out. As you said, the bracket swivels out to hold the saw at a fixed depth. You control the depth with the screw. If you want to alternate between trench and full cut swivel the bracket/flange and the rod will just pass through the hole for a full cut but youll still have the depth setting dialed in. Its far from a precision instrument - i think you were expecting more. Best of luck with the move.

@@badseedbrighton46 instead of facing them from bottom center to top corners, face them from top center to bottom corners. And add a set on the front side as well.

I'm not sure what tools you have but you can build the desktop by gluing the pieces you used at the top together and cutting or planing it to thickness so you Han have a flat surface to work on.

Couple of suggestions. If I may. Invest in a impact driver. The bottom shelf is different thicknesses all over. Depending on what you are going to be putting in the drawers. I've a feeling that the bottom may come loose, due to the way you have screwed it in.

Good attempt but still a long way to go before you have a working, stable bench. If it's Ok with you, some advice as to your video. Get rind of the music if you are going to do a commentary as it is difficult for people who are hard of hearing (such as I) to clearly hear you, Secondly, speed up what you are going to show by tighter editing as I found myself fast forwarding through all the glue up. It's a learning process but you can easily loose subscribers this way. Anyway, for me I've now subscribed.

I’m thinking of buying this but all the reviews say to buy a new blade with 80 teeth (I’m doing skirting and architrave) I’m worried I’ll buy the wrong blade. Could you recommend one? I’m totally lost 🙈
@badseedbrighton465 ай бұрын
I personally refuse to use Amazon but if you google or ebay "210mm 80 Tooth Carbide Saw Blade TCT" that's the right diameter blade for that Argus saw...should cost £15 to £20 maximum...which I think on top of the cost of the saw is stilll a good price for DIY users. Good luck.
