No he has a point. It's very difficult to think or feel anything but "oh fuck what the fuck" for the first minute of an ice bath. You definitely aren't feeling depressed in that minute, it's too intense and overwhelming. Like, it doesn't matter how calloused you are, the physiological response to extreme cold will absolutely jolt your consciousness into the moment. I found it helps with self deletion thoughts, because you get ultimately distracted and excited. Then you can kind of focus on the pain for a few minutes, which is easy because it's intense, and when you get out you feel very much cleansed. It's cathartic.

Like for real, it's not that we have biggest problem of paying bills. If you remove bill worrie, then a giant rock falls off. Offcourse depression from los and health wil and can remain. But the financial stress remains the biggest depression and worry problem
