Tom you have a more interesting and better finished Inglenook than my effort!! I removed one hook off the loco end of my puzzle wagons and weighted them all to Iain Rice's recommended axle loading. Which cured derailing and made uncoupling easier with a tiny magnet glued well up into the end of a dowel. The air gap to stop the magnet pulling the wagon off the tracks. My loco is a cobbled M W class H, 0-4-0.

Every tiny bit of weight that you can shave off will make a difference. The original designers of the Turbo racing system thought carefully about power-weight ratio, so for conversion from die-cast you can assume lesser performance straight away but a different car (not a a hefty van or bus) with some careful grinding of the underneath does work.

Cost nothing, mechanically simple and absolutely reliable, works with any vertical motion coupling systems (HO too, especially my pick, Roco Universal), and, cherry atop the gigantic chocolate cake, easy to dissimulate as anything you can find in the prototype between the tracks which looks like more or less like a planar thing. I take it !

¡Hola buenas tardes! Great little layout update video. Quite intrigued with the uncoupler levers. Have you any drawings of the design. I've been trying to adopt an uncoupling method and yours seem, as you say, simple and effective? As ever, keep safe and well. Un saludo. Gary
@tsdesign3317

Thanks! No drawings unfortunately, it's all very much bodged - but also simple, so not too hard to do. It's mainly just "a thing between the tracks with a link to under the baseboard" plus "a thing to push that bit up with". Hence the angled wire like mine, or cams, or electromagnets etc. There are many ways you could do it!

Fantastic! Beautiful set-up. Might you post a video that explains the levers on the front fascia and the assortment of toggle switches on the top face plate - including how you created the under-the-benchwork design. That would be a lot of fun to see in detail. Well Done!!!
