It is not fair to the ambulance service at all and wastes police time as well it is a serious and criminal offence that could face prison time for whoever the kid was making that 999 call and I hope the police give him or her serious talking to if it was a real emergency

My mum was showing the signs of a stroke, I called the ambulance when I saw her, by seeing the ‘Act Fast’ adds on the TV countless times, but it might have been a seizure which I also had never seen her take before. She said to the paramedics she had epilepsy, but it’s something she’d never told me, or anyone else I she knew. They didn’t need to see her, but I wasn’t lying when I first made the phone call.

This makes me so angry, what kind of fucktard get pleasure endangering others? There should be a full scale police investigation, and the wrong doers should be named and shamed, then given hefty sentences in jail. This happens all the time in my town, I always report suspicious phone boxes to BT. I know when they have made a hoax call because the receiver is hanging down and no-one is there. It makes me even more angry considering my dad has fallen and broken his skull and if it were not for the ambulance, I wouldn't have a father anymore. Hoax calls are not fun or cleaver, their down right stupid and retarded! Only horrible little scabby thugs do them! If I ever see someone making one, I am taking a photo and dialling 999 myself and handing over the evidence to the police. If you ever see someone dialling 999 for fun, take a video or photo, then call 999 yourself and and the evidence to the cops! ) :<

TO STOP THIS: 1. Charge the 'prank' caller the entire bill of the cost of emergency response, resources and administration used, including the cost of processing and call handling. Innocent taxpayers should NOT have to pay the bill for somebody else's hoax. 2. Sentence the hoaxer to a MINIMUM prison sentence of 3 YEARS (depending on the resources used) without the ability for bail or ability to leave prison early due to 'good behaviour'. 3. Enforce legal conditions where failure to pay back the bill and/or comply with a payment plan will result in additional jail time. If the 'prank caller' is a minor (meaning, a child who cannot understand the severe impact of their hoax), the bill shall be appropriately forwarded to their parents and/or guardians without jail time (the parents should not suffer a prison penalty for the actions of others, however, shall be expected to resolve the bill [you can guarantee they will stop their child making 'prank' calls]). There is no valid reason to not enforce the conditions above into law. Hoaxes cost money. If there is no penalty, then there is no fear of consequence.

There are 2 good ways to cut the amount of hoax calls which seems only the Fire Service(s) do 1) Challenge callers if the call handler suspects it's a hoax call 2) Power to disconnect mobile phones the call has been made on

False. The Police can block your phone from calling 999 if you misuse it. The Fire Brigade can't do that directly, they must report it to the Police who can do that.

The more serious you're taking riding a motorcycle, the more you understand what it is you're doing as a human being, the more gear you will wear. It's all there for a reason, and all so easely available, not more expensive than your health, all different kinds of fabric, styles and ways of protection, it becomes a part of you and part of the riding experience. If you crash, live to tell the tale and get back on it as soon as you can if you love riding. With gear, you'll be riding soon again. Without gear, might never get back to it.
