Reminds me of many nights spent in the Lord Napier in Thornton Heath with Bill Brunskill and his Jazz men, very much part of my growing up with uncle Vic and auntie Iris. Proper nights out.

I love this. I love Charlie with the Shotgun Jazz Band, but it's only over that last year or so that I've noticed that Charlie obviously has a love for this tropical 'calypso' type of music (sorry, I'm not an expert so I might be getting my descriptions wrong). This is brilliant and Charlie's trombone style totally suits this music. Also, great clarinet Dennis!👏👏👏👍

Wow - you sound fantastic together! This reminds me a bit of the two albums Jethro Burns recorded with Don Stiernberg, which I've loved for years. Thanks for sharing the video.

I had no idea you were a Del McCoury or bluegrass fan. We saw Del and the boys at the Ryman last month. The guy is amazing. 85 years old and still singing strong.

Huge bluegrass fan! And Del is the reigning champ. No one alive does it better.

I watch this one on a regular basis. I love the spirit of this band and the FABULOUS, idiosyncratic Nellie McKay tops it off. And what a great song. I think it is time to learn it.

How cool was it that as we were watching, I said to my wife, "Hey, isn't that Paloma, who we saw in concert in Sacramento a couple months ago?" (with another rising star, Skylar Tang on trumpet), Yes it was. First caught my attention at Essentially Ellington with our local jazz training ground, the Rio Americano High School Jazz Band.
