Far from as good as the real thing... Not even close... I saw the real Floyd 5 time starting with Dark side of the moon in the 70's
@johngibbin141615 күн бұрын
@@Silverado2021 echoes has been played live several times by Pink Floyd, David Gilmour and now Nick Mason, but in my opinion the worst recording and performance was by Pink Floyd of the Dark Side of the Moon tour at Wembley which was released on the Early Years box set. Substituting David Gilmour’s guitar solo in the first half of the track with Dick Parry’s saxophone, just did not work and for me was awful. The best released version, again IMO, was by David Gilmour Live in Gdansk. The version by Nick Mason has received many positive reviews from those who were lucky enough to be there, as well as many who have heard this KZfaq video and I thought it was excellent to hear again. However this recording probably doesn’t do it justice, unfortunately the sound is not great in the top tier of the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham. But hearing it in the Symphony Hall Birmingham from the stalls was superb.

@johngibbin141620 күн бұрын
@@jackavis5538 there is nothing wrong with the phone video and sound, you wouldn’t get much better in the location it was took from. Unfortunately it can only record what was there and in the top tier in Wembley Stadium the sound was not great. Agreed though it doesn’t do the band any justice, however that is the problem with stadium concerts

Brian is done. He can't sing worth a fk any more and it just gets worse as the gig goes on. It was time to hang it up after Malcy died anyways. Now, Malcy and Phil are gone. It's just NOT AC/DC any more. Hasn't been for a while

With the greatest respect to Brian Johnson he is 76 now and he is never going to be as powerful as he was in years gone. However, the sound in the top tier of Wembley is not the greatest, in fact it is awful and it really didn’t do him any justice. I expect there are other videos on KZfaq, taken from the standing area, in which he will sound much better.

Remenber also that Guy Pratt, playing bass here played bass on both the mega tours for Momentry Lapse and The Division Bell back in the 80's and early 90's, so I'd say he's a 'member' of Pink Floyd also.

With all due respect to Nick Mason, and his rights, it's a strange effect to see other (paid) musicians playing and praising themselves with Pink Floyd's music, sounds and songs. I find it obnoxious! I find it disrespectful to the fans and aficionados of P.F. and to the members of the original band. Other Pinks have done similar things... However, mine is a hot emotion, without thinking too much about it.
